I like the Stadium Club short print! Too bad it didn't get a 10. I think I have 2 flagship and 3 chrome base Tatis Jr rookies I still need to send to PSA.

I hear you on KB, and am a big fan. However, from an investment standpoint, he was never a great buy because he was not a rookie until 4 years later than players that are really worth putting a good amount of money into. When a player is 3-4 years behind from the start (meaning they are rookies at 24 instead of 20-21), they will never be able to end up in the top tier of career numbers, no matter what they do. Collectors put a lot of value in that possibility, as we saw with Griffey, Arod, Trout and now Soto, Acuna and Tatis. Couple that with an injury and not committing to the Cubs long term, I think it just made it worse for his long term value. I still love the guy as a player, but he is not the best example of someone who was hot and no longer is for the most part.

I just got my grade back for my Stadium Club Short Print (Sunglasses) and it got a PSA 9 too. The PSA 10's are hard to come by for this card.

Stadium club in general is a very tough grade. Always has been. The backs are awful. I expected a 9 and got a 9 so was very happy. Was happy to gem everything else. I still think that SC in a mint slab is a really nice card. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know in most cases right now especially modern cards, a PSA 9 is about the same price as a raw..

Now, if it's a raw card and I can already see that one of the corners has a white tip, I'd rather buy a 9 (assuming I'm paying reasonable rates). But there's only, like, three of us that own scanners, everyone else just posts out of focus pics from their Nextel flip phone so, realistically, I'd rather go with the 9 and know what I'm getting. Especially on a card like the SC sunglasses. Arthur | |

Absolutely IMO. I would see most raws listed as an 8 to 8.5 at best with this card specifically.

Hoping for a big mail day from Topps, BGS, Jewcer and EBay. Will update as they come in to keep the Tatis love flowing for game 2 tonight. Everything looks perfect but the off center border. |

I don’t know what raws of these cards are going for today, but of this card I’d say yes. From my views PSA 9 mint seem to be drawing a premium to raws lately. Not a huge premium, but enough to justify the slab costs. Even look at the base 410s, PSA 9s draw a premium to raw. A mint card is a strong grade! Back in the day, 9s were always seen as a good grade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Those SC cards for sure get a premium as a 9. Almost like a black.

Wow, congrats on those, wicked awesome! Same here, he is the player that got me back into baseball. I thought he would be a Cal Ripken type face of the Cubs, but that does not look to be the case, unfortunately. I agree, he will have a nice career still, just not going to be a hobby premium star that he was thought to be in 2016. Tatis! |
