post our top 20-30. Give us an idea. A lot of the base, very low end inserts I would sell in lots.

I think you guys are assuming I have some really crazy good cards here.

My stuff is probably considered low end by most people.

I'm going to try to get the list together today and post an ad in the for sale section. I decided I would keep my top 10 cards. If nobody wants the whole lot, I'll probably sell in lots.

Thanks for all of the advice!

Any cards that are closing in on a grand, are high end to most of us...…….

Dude, you have some nice cards.

I don't know what the definition of "high end" would be but you have some really nice Jordan cards.

You really don't need to hear this from me but money is cheap right now. I may hang onto this selection and give it to my kids later....

Thanks for all of the advice and the words of encouragement. I'm fine with my choice to sell. I kept a few of my favorites and the rookie sticker, so I'm good with my decision.

looks like you have a local person interested on your sell thread. Probably a good thing to avoid shipping and the risk of damage with that many cards if you sell all of them.

I have some people interested from my local craigslist ad, but I don't know of any local blowout people because this guy bkcardcollector got my thread deleted even though I did have a price in there. I don't know why he has it out for me... Why say 'see ya' and rub it in? I didn't even break any rules.

The basketball forum is littered with jerks. I only wish the sticklers that hit supposed infractions to do with sales as hard as those who post GRADING, ebay questions in the basketball forum. Those are the posts that are truly spamming/watering down the basketball forum...

Here's my two cents:

Continuum of "keeper" to liquidate that I apply when contemplating moving an item.

Sentimental (first card of player, favorite card...relational memory i.e. nostalgic) --- Grail (authentic or graded rookie, pack pulled relic, auto, low print run, case hit insert) --- Mid-end (box hit insert or premium brand or high graded base card) --- low end (single digit odds insert, low to mid-end base) --- checklists, promotional, and commemorative (player sets) --- novelty (non-licensed)

Stuff nearing the low end of the continuum is best moved in lots, otherwise splitting it up and selling is far too labor intensive. Stuff at the grail level and mid-end is where the best opportunity for growth is, especially with MJ, or another player of his caliber in the collector world (i.e. Lebron, Kobe).

Hope this helps!

Haha, yeah, I agree!

I've spent a few month in Thailand and love it there. I know Jordan is a famous name even in SE Asia. Are there some card shops there with basketball cards?

Thank you for the thoughtful response. Some great info and things to think about. Have a great day!

Just looking at these MJ's for sale is making me a bit sentimental! I need to go ahead with the sale though...

You have a really nice collection.

I think some great advice has been given in this thread and wish you the best on a smooth sale if you go ahead with it...

Thanks man! The friendliness and helpfulness of this forum cannot be overstated!

I actually have a pending sale for the collection tomorrow.

It happened to me too for the handlebars. It was only staying partially in place with a tiny bit of weld. I had like 10km to do to get back home driving very slowly!

Not sure if others have said this, but this is exactly what COMC is made for. You will get a much better return selling the middle to lower end cards there than in a large lot on eBay.

If I were in your spot Id hate to sell these at .70 cents on the dollar just to avoid missing karting season.

This right here. .....blowout is lowball city. Any Jordan over ten bucks sell ridiculously quick and prosperous at auction. I am almost 75 percent sold on my Jordan collection, took about a year

are you near tempe? take it to showtime and see if Pete will buy or even let you consign with him. he may have other customers interested. I'm pretty sure he lists stuff on ebay too and isn't just selling in the store.

edit, looks like it sold from your other thread, good deal.

Congratulations on the sale!

Like you I only recently went through the old MJ collection. I have thousands of cards spread over eight binders that sat in a storage for over a decade. Having a great time sorting them out and deciding which ones get graded. Sent one bulk order before the price increase, and now have to think a little harder to see which ones make the cut now.

btw I didn't report you. I said see ya because we will never see you here again and that it should be out of this section because you are looking to sell your collection and want people to talk about it and then disappear. Your post in the trade thread as well was deleted because you had no prices. Read or know the forum rules or not because your gone now. I hope you sleep better at night. Weird how you were thanking me earlier in the thread and now this.
