This is correct! That’s why I like Tatis as a potential “full package” of talent and desire to be famous / in the spotlight. If he does a whole buncha’ things right — have “the quan”— he can elevate himself to appeal to large audience product / MLB endorsements, even when the League sits on its hands.... ( again )

There's too many short term thinkers running baseball. They can't get out of their own way. It's been like this for decades. And it's not changing anytime soon, unfortunately.

Agree. Even in 2020 Acuna led Tatis in OBP, Slugging %, On base + slugging, AB per Hr, wRC+, ISO. Most likely more, but I didn’t look any further. Tatis led Acuna in many of the counting stat categories (HR, Runs, steals, War) due to Acuna missing 13 games and having 64 less ABs.

Disclaimer: Main PC is Acuna, but have around 75 Tatis Rcs.

At this point it is all dreams... both players with great on the field potential.

Tatis fans seem to prefer his personality. This short season doesn’t affect that read.

And the personality means he may be one of the most likely players to build a brand and fan base beyond baseball.

"Unwritten rule" type attitude is the issue. I honestly saw Baseball heating up with Puig (Someone started a hate thread recently), he did his bat flip thing and really did have the IT factor at that point in 2013. He made a few mistakes himself along the way but in general, he could've brought baseball to a new generation of youth. MLB wanted to keep him "contained". His nickname shows it.

I don't understand this need to plant a flag on a player. Arguing which of the three players is better is like arguing which of the three bullets heading toward the bullseye are traveling faster.

Newsflash: there's not going to be a consensus for a LONG time. There may not ever be a consensus. You're not going to be able to sway other people into believing what you believe. Why can't we just be happy we have three young, incredibly talented players to watch play and collect them all, as well? No one is saying you can only collect one of these players.

This is a great time to be a baseball card collector. Don't take that for granted. Appreciate it. Let your love light shine.
