If we are talking pennies vs. a card that may have sold if it was for sale and you missed out to someone grabbed another, it's just not worth it in the long run.

Also, your time has value that is not equal to a penny per click.

I mean that has to be over $30 per hour, so not sure, but it might be worth it.

Interesting question that I have (or at least I think it is interesting): what percentage of your cards are marked Not For Sale normally? I am currently just below 20% of my inventory that is not for sale. Mostly Bowman Chrome Prospects, some prizm rookies that I got at a great deal and then some vets/retired that I am holding for Hall of Fame jumps, etc. I am just curious if I am on the high end of not for sale, or what.

I use comc to buy mostly. So almost all of my cards are NFS. Then I’ll ship twice a year or so.

Just under 30% for me. A lot of these cards are items I would take a loss on. So instead of doing that I just hide them and hope they go back up.

The odds that it would have sold in the 12 or so hours that it’s unlisted are astronomical I’m sure. And I was the one that made the suggestion earlier Bc someone was wondering about their account going negative. I merely made the suggestion so he could avoid paying on a few and going into the negatives. Others have used it for more than a few cards but the few times I have used it if other cards were on the site I have never noticed there being one less when I click the button to reactivate mine.

Can you still use code SCI10 for ten free elite submissions?

Currently I have 600/5000 marked not for sale. So about 12%. Mostly cards that I have duplicates on the site or ones I don't want to take a loss on.

Anyone else having issues doing creating new submissions? Errors out once you choose a destination and doesnt allow you to get to the printable page.

Assuming its a website error just wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience recently.

Same problems for me. Tried a few times since this morning and keep getting the error page but after Step 3.

"A website error occurred. We're sorry for the inconvenience. The error has been logged and we will be working on a solution as soon as possible."

Truth...that's why I stopped doing it - in case you missed it, I was a little angry a few years ago, but I'm doing much bitter...um, better now.

I just noticed that 2 cards that I purchased for flips now have condition notes on them since I put them up for Ebay/Auction. WTF ? I bought them on the premise that there were no dings, surface scratches etc. and now I have to pay fees for cards that will sell at discounted prices in auction. I could have just left them on COMC w/ no notes. How is this happening ? This is the 3rd time this has occurred. These are errors made by the first person who graded the card, not me. I asked for my auction fees to be waived, I'm sure that will happen.

I noticed that with some cards I had sent home. You really have to inspect the card yourself to make sure it is in good condition.

That's one of the features of the Elite processing phase, required for eBay auctions. Likely so that they don't get a ton of auction returns for "Item Not As Described." Basically a necessary evil to use that service.

I asked the same question here a couple weeks ago. Mine was a lebron national treasures base /25 which was bought with no condition note and could potentially be a $900 card. But when it was put up for auction, all of a sudden it had three condition issues and sold for 600 only. I'm pretty sure even if I just list it for 700, that is a steal

When they first load them on the site they dont really grade them. They likely just look them over for obvious flaws. Supposedly they only note conditions that would knock a card below near mint.

Thats why you have to really inspect the scans to try and corner dings or edge issues not noted. Surface issues are hard to catch.

I guess I have to from now on, but I think we can all agree that a flaw can be found if you look carefully at almost any non-white bordered card.

Still, how is missing something that is subjective our faults ?

It isnt your fault. It just is.

So there should be an alternative to pull the cards back and have the "condition note" removed. Plus, fees should be reversed. COMC is in the position where there is no alternative, but I'm sick of them always having it both ways.

So that the next person gets to discover the flaws in the card and submit a return?

Apologies if this has been addressed, but I was wondering the what the current status is on shipping.

I requested shipment (economy) back on June 20. Ship date was to be 3 months, on September 21. This shipment has still not shipped out, nearly 2 weeks after the ship date. When is a realistic time I should expect these cards to be shipped? Anyone have experience with this?

I'm having a hard time understanding how all the other modes of shipping and ebay shipping seem to go right on schedule, vastly before the economy shipping time period....and economy doesnt go out not just 3 months after shipment request, but an additional 2 weeks and counting. I wont be doing much if any buying on comc moving forward.
