Well said, and that's a good reminder of how freaking fantastic the Bob Gibson set looks. The Thiele Gibson is high on my list of cards to get when I back-track and get cards that I've missed.

I'm wondering if we have a Fucci Bob Gibson this week, based on who is due? I can't wait to see the reaction to that one if it drops Monday. Otherwise, it might be Oldmanalan or Naturel since Blake, Efdot, Mister Cartoon, Vides have just released cards and Taylor is doing McGwire.

That Koufax is a far cry from his Ripken, imo.....his Rip is one of my favorite in this set so far.

I find his Chang-style cards to be his weakest, especially when he includes awkward career totals or statistics.

If a number is iconic enough to represent a player's career, it shouldn't require the category to go with it.

Example: Efdot's Rickey had a base with 1406 on it. Siff's Rickey had a base with 1406 on it, with 'stolen bases' written under it.

Show it, don't tell it.

First off, RIP Bob Gibson, we lost an icon. I texted my cards friends last night with condolences. I hope that my submission to the blowout artists does him justice but I'm okay with someone replacing my submission -- just contact Willie Mays Hays.

Not really on the Brett ... it's the lowest ben baller after the first two (which predated this set blowing up).

I would like to say that Topps shipped me the other 7 cards of the 3 cards they sent me on a invoice. So what happened was I ordered both cards x10 each + Topps Now Byron Buxton x20 (don't ask) on the day those three cards were available from Topps. They sent me 10 + 3 in one package and 7 + Topps Now in the second package. So don't freak out if you get a partial of a ten spot SO LONG AS the delivered cards match the invoice. I have gotten three packages where the cards did not match the invoice and that is when you need to call them. Still have to call them about the crushed box of JK5 Mattinglys anyway.

I'm liking the Siff Koufax more and more. Might be the weekend cocktails fueling that fire, though. Been looking through those Bob Gibson cards throughout the day. Watching the memories on MLB Network, too. Always sad to lose a legend.

I haven't been much of a fan of Siff's work to this point, and his Koufax might be a bottom 10 card in the entire set for me. Maybe it will grow on me over time, but for now I can't get over how mannequin-esque Koufax looks
