I think I have around 450/500 in total now. Mainly made up of my Ghostbusters master set, Star Wars, Indy, Clerks, some customs and commissions, a few other AP’s/random high end pieces and my Mitch Ballard Alien Anthology sketches. I broke up my Alien Anthology master set pretty recently and have moved around 150 of those sketches now.

I’m WAY more picky/focussed now when it comes to new additions.

Great Clip! I haven't seen that movie in years.

Here is probably my most "fun" sketch - Worf playing baseball from the DS9 H&V set.

That is a fun sketch! Who's the artist?

To answer OP's question, I have 4 sketches, all Star Trek Inflexions. Judging by reactions to group break pulls, I am on the choosier end of the spectrum when it comes to sketch cards.

Huy Truong - he has a very distinctive style.

He did a nice job with Worf's determined expression there.

Probably around 200 (including like 20 of my own), which is a lot considering I don't collect them. I open boxes, pull a sketch, then throw them in a binder unless it's a high dollar item.

And just checking ... a 2 row shoebox hold about 350 sketch cards in top-loaders?

So if you say "1000 sketch cards," that's 3 shoeboxes of just sketch cards?

Amazing Futurama collection!
Those are based on the DVD collection package art, yeah?

Please consider posting those in this thread:

Understatement of 2020, or, decent odds on the understatement of all time..

I would agree with this, but seeing how regular sports cards turn after a decade or so (becoming greenish, autographs fading), I'm quite reluctant as to displaying sketchs. Bit sad and probably unfounded idea ...

103 now

Pretty much what catches my eye, though more Firefly and Perna than anything else.

Sketchcollectors shows 1,003, but there are several I have not yet uploaded. That is after I stopped collecting four or five years ago and sold off roughly 400 or so. I slowly started back with specific artists about 6-months ago.

From what I understand most finishes used by artists should protect the art from most soft light (obviously not sunlight).

Would love to hear more from someone that knew more though.

I would have to say less than 100. I became extremely selective about 3 years back. Sold off a bunch. First, narrowed it down to just a handful of specific characters. Then, to only a few select artists. Most of what I've got is APs and commissions. Off the top of my head, I'd have to estimate that, of what I've got, maybe 5 were actually pack pulled by me at this point. I'd say about 10 are displayed, though. I've got them on shelving, out of direct sunlight and, generally, not nearby to any strong light sources. My lord. Just looking one of the APs above my desk, it's from Marvel Universe, which would be from about 2012, if I remember correctly. Had it done right after release. How time flies...

I would definitely be getting close to 150 Walking dead sketches from all sets and i have a few other random ones floating around too.

I asked Charles Hall this question a while back, since he uses oils, and he was very confident that his process of paint+fixative will preserve the art for a long time without taking incidental damage from handling.

On the other hand, we know that Copic markers, being alcohol-based, will fade over time no matter what you do. Win some, lose some.
