We don't know what the symptoms are, mild is such a loose term. It literally could be anything.

Yes, a lot of people will never know they have the virus, unless they get tested. Yes, this is a political hoax. Yes, symptoms go from nothing to death. It's a virus, they all do that.

Please explain to me - with the lack of any transparency from China as well as Trump - how anyone could know the impact of this virus at the start? Experts were not allowed into China at the beginning and we didn't even get the genetic structure and profile until Feb to realize this was bad. To say "democrats also down-played it" is accurate - based on the misinformation that was presented to them - AT THE TIME.... But when it was finally revealed the extent of this virus - it was taken much more seriously than the administration.

Your second fact statement is incorrect to say "Democratic states have done worse with harsher lockdowns" is just a partisan talking point - but let's again dive into this statement. NY leads the way with deaths (as has been stated many times) and skews the data, HOWEVER it still needs to be added as it is part of the whole. If we want to talk about Blue vs Red states - the red states are actually having more infection of viruses - even after seeing what happened in other states. Thankfully, we have better treatments for people who do need hospitalizations now than we did back in March, April and May.
I believe we should open up - but with proper precautions taken for all!

Please please please - "peel back the layers of data" and see what it really says vs taking a data point that makes you feel good and run with it.

When you are a narcissist and pathological liar why should you be taken seriously when something important happens or if something important needs to be done? Trump is the boy that cried wolf. Exactly, no one knew the impact. We had H1N1 literally only a decade ago. We have seen multiple pandemics with us doing nothing except telling people to be safe and smart. How could anyone, Trump, Cuomo, Bob, know that we would need to lock down for THIS virus, when the multiple viruses we see every year, and multiple pandemics we've seen every few years, we did nothing? We've never done this in our lifetimes, hence why everyone downplayed it.

That's fine, but the data is still there. Harsher lockdowns, more deaths, and more unemployment. No matter how you want to spin it, the data is there. I don't know why the Northeast got hit hard, but Michigan did too. The ONLY thing that I can point to, is the nursing home deal they did.
