It’s a gamble just as if you buy a box off the shelf, websites, etc. Everyone should know this by now....you can’t hit gold all the time, 3 autos and some numbered stuff, sounds like a good rip to me, but because it wasn’t the big names, go buy a $200 box and see how many big names you get or even a case. It’s a shot in the dark, don’t want to gamble don’t buy simple as that. Just my 2 cents worth

Thanks Houdini, received mine a couple of days ago and was finally able to open the box up. Pack value and contents definitely way over $200 value (which is what we pay for, not post rip value). That value is hard to find in the hobby nowadays. Excited to rip and will keep my eye out for 3rd wave!

Some of my hits! I got an auto in each of my chrome packs, and my sapphire pack had a purple Casas numbered to /20. An auto in each of my first four opened packs spoiled me!

Got Rays prospect Ford Proctor Auto in my Sapphire pack. Also Bayron Lora base card. Very happy with that. Picture of all hits is posted in previous post on this thread. My boxes were extremely good.

For the record, one of my boxes was Stadium Club heavy also. I pulled a 1st Day Issue Ripken Jr. /10, and an auto RC/50. I had no issue with the pack selection. Put out wave 3 so I can filter my disposable income your way.

If it helps (posted already on Instagram, but I dunno if Houdini/CFB has a tag on that).. My two boxes with proprietary valuation methodology detailed in the uploaded doc (let me know if there's a better/easier way to upload spreadsheets in this forum). Were some nice and surprising packs and cards included.

Packs/individual cards combined > Cost.

Hits < Cost (but you can't always (or often) win on that.. frankly I don't normally win that eventhough I keep trying.. maybe one day pigs will fly.. due to genetic engineering...)).

That all said, I did actually get an auto from the Bowman Sapphire pack (Jackson Rutledge base Auto) - my photos are too big to upload (and I don't have enough patience to resize/decrease size, so you'll have to take my word for it.

I know you’ve been busy but when you get a chance can you please look into my order? I ordered 2 boxes during the original release and never received anything. I also just wanted to say that there are a handful of sapphire base(a few that don’t have autos) that I would prefer over most autos anyway. I wouldn’t even entertain the idea of pack searching or I wouldn’t have bought these in the first place.

my sapphire pack - was 4 base - 2 1st - 1 was Lora. No color or autos

But - dude come on - Houdini is not pulling any shenanigans. There can never be a guarantee that a pack has an auto. Seriously doubt anyone is weighing packs. I got 9 Stadium Club packs in one of my boxes - and I wasn't thrilled - but it said very clearly in the op - wave 2 has stadium club packs at $7. Seriously - read the whole op before purchasing.

I didn't have any huge hits - but enjoyed both boxes. The Topps 2020 were a nice bonus.

No complaints from me.

I was in the first wave and got 1 Bowman Sapphire pack - no color or auto but did get a Bobby Witt base (OC unfortunately ). I felt like it was a great variety of packs. Always a gamble when you rip, still fun.

As aforementioned, my box had 1 Bowman Sapphire (all base, no 1sts), 2019 TCU (Tatis RD RC), 3 2020 TC Jumbo Hobby (All inserts, no notable RCs), and a 2018 Update Jumbo Hobby (I think? Maybe just a fatpack). Also included was a P2020 card, and Luis Robert Living set RC. And a little thing of hand sanitizer. I literally pulled enough to cover a happy meal at McDonalds.

That's not a problem, so I struck out. I've struck out with you before. Sometimes packs don't hit. Sometimes packs hit so hard you need to talk to someone. To blame you for the lack of hits is disingenuous. The wordage was clear in the front post. Pack odds are clearly labeled, and let's consider the amount of time you have on your hands dedicated to carefully weighing out packs. I'm not a betting man, but I'd take that one at 0 minutes a day.


Sure, I'm not a 100% satisfied customer, but I am a satisfied customer as always. Your service is good, and so is the product. Not everyone can be winners. I had fun opening the packs, and giving some of them to my kids.
Don't think overthink this. The customer is not always right because the customer sometimes can never be satisfied.

But also would not entertain the idea of packs being searched or weighed lol. Come on, a Dominguez base can’t be searched and it’s more valuable than most autos!

I had a Sapphire pack, all base, my wave 1 and wave 2 mystery boxes were nothing to write home about. I equate it to my golf game........packs or group breaks I’ve been in a funk lately, but it’s the nature of the beast streaky and has its ups and downs. I’ll keep buying and swinging one of these days I’ll hit a hole in one. Houdini your one of the best in the biz, don’t let hobby deadbeats drag you down.

I posted this before, one sapphire pack, all base but Luis Robert base RC! Everyone keeps posting autos and color from the Topps Chrome packs here too(I got an auto), and those are the little thicker Chrome cards like in Sapphire.

I’ve got mystery/holiday boxes from you for the past 3 years and wouldn’t say you do anything fishy. Love seeing all these you do sorry you gotta deal with the people that don’t like their packs. Not everyone can have sapphire, finest flashback etc
