For the record, Japan is considered to be one of the most sexually progressive nations in all of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East and their Supreme Court recently ruled that trans individuals must undergo gender reassignment surgery, be sterilized, and have no young children before they can be granted legal recognition. Same-sex marriage is not legal in Japan. Nationally, same-sex couples cannot adopt. Lesbians and unmarried women cannot have access to IVF treatment.

102 nations. Nearly 6 billion people. And this is the most sexually progressive society.

Sometimes we need a bit of perspective. The US has made a lot of progress.

Opposition to Trump's policies does not constitute hate speech.
That would require casting derision on the President's ethnicity or sexual preference, for example.

The saddest part is that JD could easily just ask you if you hate trans people.

If you genuinely believe that transgenderism is a mental illness (but otherwise harbor no ill feelings towards such individuals) and JD genuinely believes this is incorrect and such misunderstanding creates the conditions for violence, he is morally compelled to address this (perceived) ignorance.

If he chooses instead to simply troll and move on (perhaps with the justification of "well, he's never going to change his mind") and leaves you to continue facilitating violence, then JD would also be complicit in transphobic violence.

Imagine if the roles were reversed, Trump would be getting destroyed for basically saying Biden murdered all these people that died with COVID.

I do believe Biden wins the election because the smear campaign by the media is too much for Trump to overcome. However, Biden is living in fantasy land when it comes to COVID. Since he wants to use the IHME model, the response from the United States did save millions of lives (we should all be smart enough to know that this isn't the case).

I am those things you listed and never felt hated on. Now, if you feel like that, just imagine how those who do not have those traits feel and still feel....for hundreds of years.

-Women couldn’t vote until 100 or so years ago.
-Blacks were considered 3/5 of a person.
-LBGTQ+ are demonized as mentally ill (even in this thread as of the last few hours!).
-Mexicans, according to our POTUS, are considered rapists and drug dealers.

I'd be interested in hearing, in your own words, how people that are troubled with being born either male or female, and looking to have that changed with surgery/synthetic hormones/etc., is not a mental illness.

Almost a month into the return to school and my district has one positive covid case. Some kid that went on vacation over Labor Day, never made it into school.

I'm glad all the teachers haven't dropped over dead like the unions and others said were going to happen.

We’ve had a handful of cases. Mostly related to sports. A couple of buildings shut down for a day and one elementary class and teacher quarantining for two weeks. The neighboring district had to close for two weeks. I don’t know how many cases they had.

Our sports are going, was a middle school student that tested positive. At my son's soccer scrimmage last week there were a ton of people, sidelines packed. Not many masks.

That lack of a substantiative posting is my biggest frustration with this thread. The “woke” seem to think that shame and demand making are useful when engaging people with different ideas. Stay in attack mode so that nothing ever has to be supported. Bust out something about Trump in case of emergency. And then “go to work” when all else fails.
