Completely agree, but the sustainability of the "crossover" population concerns me. Sports card collecting/investing/whatever the hell we're doing these days is rooted in common thread of a love of the athletes and the sport itself.

With a BB type crossover you are inviting folks who have a love of BB's design into a universe that's predicated on a love of sports. Not necessarily a long term strategy imo. Loving one doesn't mean you'll learn to love the other.

Look at P2020, you tried to cross love of sport/sports cards with pop art. From reading the P2020 thread it's evident that there aren't that many "pop art" aficionados in the sports card community.

No fault, no harm, just a very stark example that crossing over is hard to pull off and most likely any success is short term in nature. There's literally no fundamental reason for appreciation save for the lemming like quest of everyone to "flip for a profit".

Simple question, perhaps would make a good poll. How many raffle winners have a fundamental appreciation of BB's work vs. How many purely bought due price gain potential. My guess is 10:90 at most. Again, that's fine but most likely not sustainable.

Still processing. Really starting to worry they are going to start canceling orders soon. Hoping they put their shipping priority in Ginter and will take care of the Ben Baller boxes soon. Fingers crossed we get that shipping notification soon.

My box arrived yesterday afternoon, didn't get a chance to break until late last night and finally got around to getting pics of the better stuff. I'm PUMPED overall with how my box went...

Got 4 colored parallels vs the 6 on average
Got 1 1985 insert vs the 2 on average
No LouBob RC base nor Kyle Lewis
Got 3 die cuts vs the 1 on average

Notable base and RCs: Lux, Bichette, Tatis, Acuna, and Trout



Inserts and refractors: 1985 Hoskins, Mercado green /99, Correa blue /75, and Biggio gold /50



Die cuts: Luis Robert RC, Gavin Lux RC, and Gavin Lux gold refractor RC 10/50!


Pretty thrilled all around, especially with the base RCs and die cuts.

Mine is still processing but so are the hobby boxes that I ordered on another product’s release date 4 weeks ago. After 3 attempts at contact with zero responses, I filed a PayPal claim yesterday on the latter. It amazes me that a company that has been basically printing money with on demand for the past few years refuses to invest some of it back into the framework of the company. Logistics and Customer Service simply do not matter to Topps as they have no competition.

I just spoke to CS at Topps. The "batch processing" will continue through the "middle of next week" so it still can be some time before your order ships. Haven't received notification on either of mine yet.

Mine still says processing on Topps website but I just received Fedex notification that my box is arriving today. So don't take the Topps website as gospel.

I got through to Topps Customer service after about a 20 min wait. Spoke to Jemima (not sure about the spelling) and I’m 100% sure she is in India.

J: All purchases are final.
Me: I know, but I only paid for 1 box on this account - the raffle box I won the opportunity to pay for.
J: yes sir, but all sales are final.
Me: I paid for 1 box and you are sending me 3.
J: sir, sales are final you cannot return the boxes.
Me: I understand that, but I will be receiving goods I haven’t purchased.
J: I will pass that on to our shipping department.
Me: ok, thank you. Now what must I do with the extra boxes? Return them?
J: Sir, the sales are final. You cannot return opened boxes.
Me: the boxes will still be sealed. I will only keep the one I paid for and want to return the other 2 when they get here.
J: sir, the company do not accept returns on purchased boxes. I am sorry.

Received notification my MC box shipped last Sat. Due the 18th. No notification received on my raffle, it’s been shipped and is due the 17th. Same account for both.
