A Big Ten university president flatly denied the White House's claims to NBC News.

"President Trump had nothing to do with our decision and did not impact the deliberations," that school president told NBC's Peter Alexander. "In fact, when his name came up, it was a negative because no one wanted this to be political."

And this is for those people who bizarrely supported the idea that Joe Rogan should moderate a debate, despite his total lack of any ability to do so along with his coarse bigotry.

Uh, yeah, no.
Better Rogan just stick to making his little internet show for middle-age Incels who can't figure out why their co-workers, ex-wives, and kids all hate them.

According to Trump, Joe's already a "lefist".

This is likely not going to go over so well ... so my apologies to say this so bluntly, but if the words of Donald Trump are impacting the life of your teenage son, that's a reflection on you. It is not Trumps job to raise your son and if you are going to blame a complete stranger for speaking words you do not like which impact the life of your child; then you are going to be blaming a lot of people for a lot of things which are very likely not their fault.

Another poster in here (Charnick I think) had mentioned the same thing that I should be concerned my son and daughter will grow up where Trump is president and will see his character and emulate it because they are impressionable young kids. And my vote, should go to someone who they can look up to as a role model. It's an argument, but on the list of reasons to care about the President of the United States and their role in my household; how their words translate to my children is not on the top 10,000 list.

Your second example is a wish. Trump downplaying the virus in February had no impact on your life; other than how it makes you feel today. The truth of the matter is you really really want Trump to have worked some kind of miracle so the country is not where it is from a Virus perspective; but when you look around the world, no leader worked said miracle. Your current situation regarding jobs, school and everything else is almost 100% a product of your local government and 0% to do with Donald Trump. Mine is (why I live in CT, God only knows).

I think you know this; and I think your feelings for Trump place blame on him that does not belong.
Thinking back, I just can't remember a single time when I was a teenager that I gave two sh!ts what was going on in Washington D.C. or anything/anyone else that had to do with politics.
Not saying none do, just stating my own experience as a teen.
Oh yea, your post was spot on.

Weak, as usual.
It's not Trump's words that hurt.
It's Trump's actions.

As we just discovered via the President's own voice on tape, Trump infamously told Bob Woodward he liked to downplay the virus.
At his disastrous ABC Town Hall yesterday, Trump then lied to a young woman's face and said he "up-played" the virus. If only he had, or had even taken it seriously at all, there'd be a lot fewer dead Americans right now and the country would be well on the way to a full reopening like other countries who did, instead of languishing far behind them as we are now.

Trump: It's not his heart.
It's his brain.

I was on the fence and to be honest, having 21 hours of pre-programmed television that she's interested in and quiet for has come in handy.

I caved due to circumstances. If she grows up insists to go to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardy instead of college ... I'll consider it a win.

Oh yea, your post was spot on.
To be fair on that point, the political climate of the late 1990's was not the political climate of today. There was no social media ... hell ... I didn't have internet until I was a senior in high school. And reading two web site pages in an hour was not all that fun w/ 56k dial-up in the woods.

I understand your point but I think you would recognize that young kids today are beaten to death w/ a much more political culture than we ever were.

Trump is losing it - last nights Town-Hall and now this news conference.

He tries to help himself and turns around and shoots himself in the foot.

Harry Potter still holds up now. Even the early movies with the subpar animation. Great movies

Jim Carrey to play Joe Biden on SNL. The mind jokes are ripe for the taking.

I was a little concerned a few weeks ago that Trump could squeak out a win in the election ......

Now, after the Woodward tapes, his Q&A in front of undecided voters and now the latest news conference - he is done. The wheels have come off and the lies are getting bolder and bolder.

This post sums up why sometimes its not worth responding or posting. Your always right, some that doesn't think like you is always wrong. The message has been pretty clear that they are painting him as a tool of the leftists

He literally can't help but contradict scientists. He can't stand someone being more intelligent than him.

He did it the other day regarding climate change and the forest fires, and he has done it throughout the COVID pandemic. Doing it tonight, contradicting what the CDC director just said.
