Question Seriously considering selling my entire Game of Thrones card collection and need help

Hello everyone-

I’ve been collecting the Game of Thrones trading cards for many years and have reached the point that I may be parting ways with everything. I have a 15 month old now and I guess my priorities have changed a bit. My question to everyone is should I try to sell everything in one fell swoop, individual season/editions or each individual card/insert set?

I have all the binders, base sets, parallel sets, relics and a great deal of the autographs(500 + I would guess). I was thinking of trying to sell each individual season/collection to start with and then moving towards listing individually if I didn’t receive any interest.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help!

At least for your own reference you'll have to (at least roughly) price things out individually to come with a lot price. My guess would be that you'll eventually have to move cards individually, but it doesn't hurt to start with lot prices for everything from each product.

Could do each season as an auction and let it ride. Then you only have to ship 8 packages.

I'd think sell them by season since it'll be quicker. Ideally you'd make more money on individual auctions with BIN but it would take more time and effort.

I guess it depends on how badly you want the most money. I'm guessing the card sets you should sell by season. The autos should be priced individually to maximize your profit. If you have the higher end autos I would think those would sell best individually. Then work your way down to the lower end autos....and some of those lower end autos will only fetch a few dollars. If you are not in a rush you may want to consider COMC. There service isn't great now and I would advise waiting unless you need the money now. COMC would allow you to price your cards and then wait....and wait....and hopefully you would get top dollar on the autos and chase cards. Hope this helps.

Selling now is probably a good idea. The prices will head downward the longer the show is off the air and out of mind.

I actually am waiting a few years before buying most of the autos from this set, so they cool off more.

I think only Kit Harington will rise over time.

That's an odd choice. Why him and not Clarke or Momoa?

Those two are already at the top price wise. I could see a steady rise so as long as they don't sign a ton of stuff in the future.

As for the OPs question, if you already have the set-up at home to mail things out, list them out on Blowout to save on fees. Then after a week or so, post them on eBay. Organize by Season in your store and listing. I'd start individually then group them together as you get to lower end autos. ALWAYS combine shipping as an option. Your set builder will be your best customer.

Appreciate everyone’s advice. I’m not in a hurry to get rid of everything so I’ll probably start by listing the higher-end cards and then gradually work my way through the rest. I may or may not list the cards for sale on blowout but if anyone’s interested in a particular card/set let me know.

Thanks again!

Harrington's turn as Black Knight in Eternals is solid that will help boost up his autos again.

I'd hold Momoa and Harrington for their DC & Marvel involvement.

I think that if/when the prequel comes out there may be a revised interest in autographs from the show that started it all, and when the newest book comes out there may also be a renewed interest to a lesser extent.

If it was me personally Im waiting until the prequel comes out or at least the book drops, the stench from season 8 is probably still lingering in a lot of people's minds. Also if you are selling in massive lots expect to lose a ton of value.
