Mask, hand hygiene, and common sense. Open everything back up to normal. The long term ramifications of the current policies in certain states are scarier than the virus itself.

Maybe you don't understand the meaning of none.
I guess you didn’t understand the question. What freedoms have YOU lost? Personally?

I know this is the deflection thread being political and all but I thought you might be a straight shooter.

Who's cheering the Patriot Act? I've never spoken to anyone nor have seen anyone post in any forum that they like the Patriot Act.

I believe some have an unhealthy respect for a virus that kills vary few people percentage wise.

Common sense is probably the least common trait possessed by the average person.

I am. Because of dumbass posts like, “how can you support the ruling that lockdowns are unconstitutional while being for the Patriot Act?” I never mentioned the Patriot Act... ever.

Patriot Act was well before my time in paying attention to politics, but my understanding is that the government wanted to tap phones and use surveillance and whatnot and Republicans were all, “I have nothing to hide, and if you don’t have anything to hide then you shouldn’t be opposed to it for the sake of security.” Those frauds don’t believe in America either. Throw them in the furnace with the Democrats who hate freedom.

Funny thing is... I was pro lockdown early on. Was in your same position debating with a pro Constitution buddy. We gotta save the sick and the elderly, myaannn. And then I watched the Democratic governors play political games with freedom. You don’t get to pick and choose when protests are okay and when social distancing is required. No sir... that’s not how this works. The same, “how could you possibly vote for Trump?” gets asked a lot. That’s how. Play stupid games, win four more years of presidente el stupido.

Oh I get it, using my son as an example didn't fit your movable goalposts.
If it makes you feel better I've lost a lots of freedoms that effect my quality of life. No need to give examples as I could very easily, but wasting my time doing so for you as you'll just move your goalposts one more time.

Uh, the “goalposts” are still there and unmoved. You just need to go for it, Charlie Brown.

Whatever Lucy lunatic. I gave you a perfect example of someone losing their freedoms and you get all pissy because it wasn't me.
Don't you see how foolish you look? The rest of us do.

Problem is, one of those things has been politicized and the other thing is lacking in much of the public.

Hand sanitizer seems cool with everyone, though.

You said you value freedoms over fears. When I asked what freedoms you lost you couldn’t even name one besides your son losing his job. You’re terribly oppressed and your right.

And her last name was van Pelt. But I guess lunatic works too. Alliteration is witty.

Yea because losing your means of making a living wage ain't important.
He won't LOSE his vehicle because he can't make payments, or his apartment, and every other expense he has.
Can't believe your still trying to win that battle. But go ahead carry on, without me.

No, you’re right. Let’s hand out masks, hand sanitizer and common sense. Open everything back up, let the old and lame die. Stupid, too. Then there will be all sorts of jobs available for the oppressed and rest of the people who lost their freedoms.

My bad - I spoke in generalities. I shouldn't have automatically lumped you into that group.

I was just questioning how the same republican party that pushed for the Patriot Act under the guise of "safety over freedom" is now pushing for the complete re-opening of our country under the guise of "freedom over safety."

I agree. One of the most damaging things that has been done during this pandemic was the complete 180 done on public gatherings while pandemic restrictions were in effect. It certainly damaged the public's trust in the reasons behind the restrictions.

Really?

There are WAY too many people in this country. We need to thin the herd.

Not wearing a mask is a good way to do that.

Most of these people are dying anyway, or are really old or have multiple co-morbidities. They drain our healthcare system and need to go.

Excellent decision. Can't have people incorrectly filling out forms and expecting their candidacy to count. No exceptions.
