Wow, that box was absolutely loaded. Congratulations man!! I've always wanted to have such an experience (although I've had some nice breaks, most are fairly mediocre, and I don't think I've ever ripped a "loaded" box before).

Thanks! Definitely my best pull since coming back to the hobby although I only have opened these 2 boxes & 8 TC blasters while stashing everything else haha. The blasters were pretty good to me too ... definitely a fun rip when you can get it at or below MSRP! I plan to grade the Robert & would love to have it come back a PSA 10.

Has anyone ever got 3 cards in a pack vs 4? None of the 3 cards in the pack were a "hit" but just regular cards. They came out of the value pack. Curious if it is bad luck or what. I know Topps will make up for missing hits but I doubt they would do anything for a missing card.

I’ve opened quite a bit of retail this year and have also had this happen two or three times. I can’t remember the format but would have been either blaster or value pack.

Back to back packs in one of my blasters only had 3 cards each. Unfortunately just one of those "oh well" situations.

I had this happen out of three separate blasters that I opened. There were several packs with only two or three cards in them. I actually went through the claim process just to see what would happen and Topps sent me two hobby packs! It might be worth giving it a shot.

Yesterday, I opened a blaster and 1 pack had 7 cards, unfortunately the last card was creased about 1/3 from the top horribly on the back, luckily it was an insert and wasnt too upset.

The Kyle Lewis Purple Auto I pulled graded a PSA 9. Auction ended yesterday evening...went for $200. Sheesh, raw goes for more. No wonder why people shill their auctions! It ended at 8PM, probably a little too early for the Western timezone. My own fault for not thinking that one through. But surprised it barely broke $200.

The more familiar I become with the economics of this hobby the more off it seems. There is a game within the game being played, almost a hollowness to the market that is hard to define.

And with more and more 8’s and 9’s coming out of psa its gonna get worse.

WM was loaded today with blasters, hangers and value packs. Picked up all of the 11 value packs to go Robert hunting and left the blasters and hangers. Think I win today.

That part is the "gambling" part. The raw went for more than a PSA 9 because there's a CHANCE it might be a PSA 10. Once your card was graded a PSA 9, most gamblers pass right over it because it's already been determined to have no shot.

Pulled a Alvarez base auto from a blaster today. Super excited until I saw blue sharpie smudges on the back. Prob from the auto signing of another card. What to do is the question. Will Topps replace it?

Since it is a base auto probably a good chance to get replaced from Topps if you send it in ASAP as long as the issue looks significant on the back of the card.

This is also why I no longer use the auction format. BIN listings put at least some of the control in the seller’s hands. Most PSA 9’s are doing more than raws as PSA has adopted stricter grading guidelines due to the fallout from the uh, well, we know.

I was not referring to the PSA 9 I sold. Totally understand the appeal of raw vs PSA 9. Though 9's are in high demand elsewhere...just not #'d that have paper trail.

Just the market in general is surreal. Something discussed ad nauseam on here so I digress

Here's a little tip that I've been successful with. If you're ever able to cart it, tap "save for later" on the app. Any time it restocks after that, you have a much better chance at adding to cart vs the product page.

I have this and I still can touch these restocks. My cart is filled with 5 already. Instantly getting the its a little busier than we anticipated or oops something went wrong

When that happens, I just keep spamming the button until it eventually (9/10 times) goes through and I can change the quantity real quick and checkout. It’s an endurance/patience test for sure lol.
