Her face is so ugly. The body is nice. So if you bag the face, I would do her. If not, forget it.

And glen proves once again that he, like everyone else in this thread, is smarter than you. I have two friends that own antique apparatus. There is a whole association with regional and yearly conventions of people who own fire trucks.

As long as the photo doesn't have her face, I'm down with it.

I went and got my haircut and my normal lady told me she is going to retire next month. I guess I'll be getting my haircut from the woman who does the rest of our families hair now.

Need a little advice if any of you guys are around. I had a Tom Seaver fabric of the game autograph numbered 3/5 listed on eBay since February for 154.99 just as I was in the process of canceling the listing somebody hit the buy it now, I already messaged him in light of Tom Seaver passing away I was taking the listing down. Am I obligated to sell the item or can I just go ahead and cancel the sale. I am fine with any answer I just need advice as I never ran into this situation.

you are in a no win situation. there is no right answer here, do what you feel.

two options (not endorsing either - just throwing out there)

you send the card - you were happy with the money before he died, so why are you all of a sudden not happy with it is how the people on this side of the argument will argue.

you keep the card - you will be called a death monger if you re-list it for a higher price, and will not be believed by many (buyer included) if you say you want to keep it. argument will be, why do you want to keep it now - you did not want it even earlier today.

again - not advising / advocating either one, just saying these are essentially the two options you are facing, and neither is great.

Both sides are true and that is why I was trying to cancel it before anyone bought it, it is not the money as I have plenty of things I could sell for more, it is that I would rather keep it in my collection as I don’t have any other Tom Seaver autographs. I am leaning towards biting the bullet and just sending it, the buyer did send me a message before he hit the buy it now asking what was the lowest price I would accept I told him I forgot I even had that card listed since February and his question reminded me to take it down, before I could get it canceled which I was in the process of doing is when he hit the buy it now.

IF this is true (and i have no reason to doubt, just saying), then you know the answer. take the hit, cancel and keep.

Well had a nice encounter with the buyer but I refunded him. He said he was going to leave me a negative but I put as my excuse the item was damaged to cut that off.

I guess I better go find a Seaver autographed baseball before people jack the prices up.

Good for you spuds on wanting to keep it in your collection instead. I personally can't let go of any card I pull unless I get a double of it.

My wife and I are thinking about staying overnight this weekend in Williamsburg since we didn't get a real anniversary trip. I don't think she passed her test either, so she'll need the distraction.

Didn’t you go to Myrtle Beach for your anniversary?

BO has been kind of dead lately, then I remember Siberian was suspended.

Today is day 7, wonder if he got more.

Doesn't have to be an antique. Fire Departments and resellers sell newer, used fire trucks all of the time and there are no restrictions on purchasing. You just can't turn the sirens on and disobey traffic laws like you are a real emergency apparatus.

As a matter of fact, this article came out today about California residents purchasing their own fire trucks to combat the wildfires.

I wonder how many more suspensions we'll see in the politics thread as things come to a head the closer we get to November.
