Hoping the Arsenal board do a U-turn on Maitland-Niles, Arteta has always wanted to keep him and has trusted him to start big games. He's a very useful utility player, I think he could carve out a Milner-esque role at Arsenal.
United have no depth; it's good to have options, especially with Pogba's recent injury history.

I can understand if they were Liverpool or Man City or Bayern but that's a luxury for a team with a few holes like Man Utd at the moment especially as they're quibbling over Sancho's price. It only really works if he's a replacement for Pogba or they are committing tactical suicide and reverting to the diamond midfield which would also mean they would no longer need Sancho. Throw in the Eredivisie risk factor and it all looks odd but as a supporter of a rival I'd rather see this than Sancho lol.

I think it's a risky move but I applaud his courage and confidence. Plus, few better teachers of midfield play than Pirlo.

Nothing in United's recently history shows that they have a coherent and consistent recruitment strategy, but I'd probably say it's just a matter of getting the deal done that was available to them. Who knows what's going on with the other incomings/outgoings I presume they are working on, but I agree the squad needs some work elsewhere.

Triple H seems have to have some surprisingly strong views on whether or not Declan Rice should stay at West Ham or go to Chelsea

With the signing of Kai Havertz, Chelsea's 4 signings this summer are all in the top 10 most expensive players across all leagues, including the 1st and 2nd most expensive transfer.

Must be nice to be able to buy your trophies

Who says they are winning trophies? 😂😂😂

I think they finish outside Top 4 this year.

True lol... but without Roman Abramovich, that club would be extinct.

They wouldn't be extinct, but they would probably be more akin to West Ham.

But all this talk of Chelsea being a "massive, giant club" by the media and foreign fans is a joke. They are an average club that couldn't even fill their stadium before Roman came in and changed the face of British football. The past 20 years or so they have done well, but anyone that knows English football remembers how much of a horrid club they are - a club with a culture of abuse, bullying and corruption at club level, and racist fans.

I used to live next to Chelsea (Battersea) in the early 2000's and you'd not see a single shirt before or after a match even back then, now they are the ultimate tourist club.

Big signing Friday for the Baggies as Grady Diangana is back from West Ham. Can't believe we got him!

Ryan Fraiser was a terrific player in 2018-19, and it earned him links with Liverpool and Arsenal... after not being allowed to move he decided to be a child, moped around and was dropped to the bench. Congrats on your loan move to Newcastle, Ryan! lol

In other news Everton finally signed Allan from Napoli. What a signing that is for the toffees. Easily one of the best box to box midfielders in Seria A for the past few seasons. If you can meet the physicality requirements of the EPL (which i am sure ha can, dude is a tank) this is going to be one of the signings of the summer!

Everton have also finalised the signing of James Rodriguez. It's fair to say he has disappointed since the 2014 World Cup and it will be the 3rd time he's played under Ancelotti. In 32 games under Ancelotti he has 14 goals and 14 assists, if anyone seems to get the best out of him it's him. With Doucoure coming in too it looks like Everton are going for broke to make the step up to compete for European places.

Looks like there's a rumor floating around that Gareth Bale could be returning to Spurs. Surprised if it actually happens. Levy isn't going to pay his 600k a week wage bill. So If Real Madrid really wants to offload him they're going to have to pay a big chunk of his salary.

Desperation signing by Jose if true.

Cruel of him too lumbering them with Bale, considering he's likely to be sacked by Christmas lol

Now, they’re talking about sending Dele Alli to Madrid in an exchange plus Real paying half of the 600k wages for bale. Pure insanity. Makes it difficult to be a Spurs fan with Mourinho at the club. Hopefully it’s just rumors.

The rumor was Bale on loan with Madrid paying half of his wages, plus Dele on loan to Madrid with Real paying all of his wages. Then full purchase on Reguilon with 2 year buy-back clause.

However it has since been mentioned by numerous sources that Dele is not going to Madrid, and likely to just be Bale and Reguilon to spurs (same deals).

Liverpool finally get their man in Thiago then out of nowhere sign Dioga Jota for £35m too. Not sure about that one, only 23 but he's a very streaky player and under-performed a bit last year, can understand if it was a lower fee but that's a decent outlay for FSG and their moneyball approach.

Backup for Mane and Salah I guess? Shaqiri is as good as gone now.
