Now that I’m a little more confident that Seager is once again MVP-caliber, I’ve decided to pick up a few of his key cards before they go berserk. Here’s the first one to come in...

Just an FYI for anyone who buys those $5 Fairfield packs from Walgreens. They have Seagrr rookie cards in them. Today I pulled one that has a silver All Star Game logo on it. I know nothing about what parallel set it’s from. There were a couple with the logo. This was the first time I got anything worth more than a dime from those. The Seaver was smack dab in the middle so I assume it’s one of the hits they advertise.

I think his Heritage autos have been undervalued for years. Great pickup!

I had picked up a few Seager cards after the first couple of games. Really enjoy watching him play and hope he can keep squaring up the ball.

This is what has been so amazing thus far:

He's been squaring up the ball amazingly well. Even his outs have been rockets.

Yup. A lot of his outs have been warning track outs.

Welp Here’s hoping his back discomfort isn’t major and he gets back to the field soon...and continues to rake

Looks like he will be day to day. At least this year DH is a option to get him back hitting.

If you reply with...."last one on eBay sold for this"...then you should have bought it on eBay.

So, I’m pretty sure this is how it went down...

Seager: “Has he bought the Chrome blue auto yet? It’s official, he accepted the offer? Okay... Oh, my hamstring!“

To add a little insult, the case is kinda scuffed up. And strangely, it appears to mostly be on the inner sleeve, more so than on the case’s exterior.

All that said, I finally own a a 1st Bowman Chrome blue refractor auto of a significant player. Until this card arrived, my best one was probably a Justin Upton.

I don’t love the pink parallels, and totally overpaid for this...but it was worth it.

2016 was the last year before Topps ramped up the flagship parallels with the camo and the blue (and then the Indy the next year), so this carries a little more weight than it would in subsequent years.

Any easy way to see what is new in the showcase? Great stuff as always

Not a great day at the plate or in the field today for Seager. Hoping he has a better day Sunday and finds some gaps at Globe Life.

Great pickup! If that’s the one that was on eBay being sold by comc thanks for buying it as it called my name for months. Just couldn’t pull the trigger.

Yes, that’s the one. And you’re welcome!

It was calling my name forever, too. As was the black that sold about a month ago. But after not acting on that one, and then realizing that these flagship parallels just aren’t showing up.... I had to do it.

I snagged the black. Probably should have grabbed the pink too. Glad it went to a good home!

Likewise!

You chose wisely. Although, with less parallels in ‘16, you can’t really go wrong.

Couple pickups. Only 2016 punch board I’ve ever seen so I had to grab it.
