Default is the USPS Slow Down altering your buying habits?

Sorry if there's another thread on this. I don't venture to any OT forums here because...well, let's just say because.

I've been having an awful lot of delays (2-4 weeks) on some packages I buy through eBay and sportlots. I really don't do too much flipping anymore, but even for strictly PC cards, the slow down really makes me think twice before buying. I suppose it shouldn't (given that these cards will be in my PC for the next 30-50 years), but it sure does add to the stress of getting stuff in.

Selling as well, I'm basically only selling high-dollar cards and sending via fedex.

Is this changing things for anyone else?

There have been several threads on this topic already.

No, it's not changing my behaviors.

Haven't noticed much difference in shipping times. Sometimes it's right on time and some times it's a day or two behind.

Haven't had even the slightest issue with USPS and have sent multiple PSA, consignment packages, and about 150 first class of my own in the past. Received a couple hundred of packages and everything has arrived in normal time. *knocks on wood*

No issues whatsoever buying or selling. All my packages to me/from me have been via USPS. No delays.

Buying habits have been altered by:

*Price-gouging by online wholesalers
*Overproduction/watered-down pack odds
*Nonexistent retail
*Shady eBay practices

Imperceptible USPS delays, however, have not.

USPS has been fine. Are you delays all caused by USPS or perhaps slow shipping sellers? If some of that is from sellers, buy from sellers who ship quickly...check their feedback.

I've been buying and selling more during the pandemic and only 1 package was delayed. Been happy with the USPS.

Things have been running a little slower, but USPS is doing a good job. Nothing is changing for me.

It hasn't but I've been leaning a bit away from PWE since I'm just worried about those getting lost in the shuffle. I actually had a Julio Rodriguez Mojo slab get lost and USPS was no help. So I guess damned if you do and damned if you don't

You think that's funny, but someone dressed in a USPS uniform came up to my door and torched my mailbox not 24 hours ago.

So my 2-3 day priority package which is now 3-4 days per USPS service alerts actually took two weeks.

I'm sure delivery wasn't delayed due to a slowdown. The package was just caught in a wormhole or other space-time phenomenon

Are we talking about covid slowdown, or DeJoy slowdown?

Not seeing any USPS slowdown outside of the ordinary, but did just have a FEDEX 2-day take 5 days while it just sat at the destination hub. FEDEX didn't provide any explanation even after calling them twice, but it eventually got there.

According to the service alert, should've been 1 additional day for priority due to Covid transportation shortages which probably means 3 more days in real life. That leaves an additional week which can be chalked up to "other" reasons.

That is so wrong. For true Fedex treatment your package should have circled around the same 2-3 facilities instead of just sitting there, then be delivered to your house number but on the wrong street.

Either you don't buy or sell anything or you're just clueless. Of course shipping is a little slower. I will continue to use USPS but there is issues with shipping timelines.

I have not seen a single slow down. I've had two Saturday shipped packages show up Monday, one from VA, the other from UT.

All my shipping priority took five days plus. I sent a priority envelope and it took eight days from Hawaii to Missouri. I sent five packages Monday in the am and only two have arrived. I contacted the buyers to make sure they know but that is too long for priority.

I haven't noticed any slow downs. Still receiving everything same as usual. Received around 40 packages this month so far.
