It's funny.

Barack Obama had eight years as President. Eight years. Two of those years, he had a majority both in the House and in the Senate. Sharp guy, probably a very nice guy, commanded a stage like few I've seen and is gifted in public speaking like few I have seen.

And in eight years, he accomplished absolutely nothing. Nothing. In fact, his legacy is defined as the guy who got Donald Trump elected. His ineffectiveness to govern, and his inability to do anything is the primary reason why the country shifted towards a guy like Trump. No policy, no achievements, no ability to come anywhere close to the rhetoric of hope and change. Simply division and executive orders that were quickly undone by Trump.

Obama was a terrible terrible waste. But the man sure could say the right things.

Also, Trump lies so much that he undermines the public's faith in our government. What he lies about is both stupid yet dangerous.

He's already questioning the legitimacy of the upcoming election. That is dangerous. He has lied about the abilities and decisions of our public health sector during a #@#@#@#@ing pandemic while also touting unproven remedies. That is dangerous.

Those are just two recent examples. How can you not see how what he does is a danger to our country?

Trump is great at saying the wrong things AND getting nothing accomplished. No wall built, Obamacare still there, National debt no closer to being eliminated, etc. Minor things changed but minor things changed under Obama, as well.

Let’s be honest, though. The political landscape will not allow any president to get much of anything accomplished due to too much divisiveness between the parties. Small policy changes that don’t affect the common American will always happen, but big, sweeping changes are near impossible.

Give him 8 years and watch as additional things happen.

He hasn't delivered on everything, but the man has delivered on a lot. Obama delivered on ZERO.

I had little to no faith in our government before Trump. What did Obama, Bush and Clinton do to grow and sustain your faith in government?

I believe our most qualified people to govern are not in politics but the private sector. Who can blame them? The thought of putting yourself in a position to be despised by nearly half the population doesn’t seem like a great way to go about your life. Those who want to be really high up in government are mostly doing it for self serving reasons.

I agree. Government jobs are public service jobs. What they have become is a self serving career. Look at Biden. What would he be without his political career? Absolutely nothing and completely worthless. Yet somehow he is up for the “highest” position in the country. It’s mind bottling.
