59 year old conservative who thinks he deserved to be fired.
The only time I hear that slur used anymore is by a homosexual.
I suppose it's like the N word and ok if they use it.
Such strange times we're living in.

Fresno? I think Fresno only looks down in Bakersfield. I can’t remember. Love how triggered you are so early this morning

You both seem triggered. You two need to hug it out

Not relevant, I know. Just sayin'.

It wasn't Thom's mic that picked this up. The appearance is, Thom was running off at the mouth and someone else turned on their mic to grab the tail end.

Jim Day?

I agree with (most) of the others in this thread. I really enjoyed Thom when Fox used him on national broadcasts. He absolutely deserves to be fired though... you just can't do that.

I got a chuckle out of this as well. If only he had some gimmicky home run catch-phrase that he would've subconsciously fallen back into:

"I just want to apologize and say how deeply and sincerely sorry I am...

...And Castellanos drives one to left! Ding-dong home run; somebody call 911 because he's on fire!!!...

...Again, I can never express how regretful I feel for what I've done - please forgive me."

No one is referring to you. Are you confused? Read what nyjetsmets guy wrote and then the guy that quoted him and then continue and then smile.

Any mention of anything close is usually considered that way. All good brother!

Apologies. Modesto bro came after me insinuating I was defending this announcer. I guess most people don’t respond to his potshots but I did. As for the announcer, He will be fired as there have been too many examples of recent note of announcers being fired for far worse, like saying “all lives matter”. If you say that word on the air in 2020 it’s the end of your career.

Unless it’s a comedian or comedy show. All good there.

He still got 2 billion bucks for selling the clippers, it’s not like he lost it for nothing.

Also wow someone is angry

I doubt it’s about the money for him though. He’s already loaded. His team was taken from him. It was all kind of odd how it all went down.

I keep referring to the NBA and how they became a global brand by doing stuff exactly like this and acting quickly on people who loved to cross the line (Donald Sterling).

NFL is following suit by booting the Redskins.

MLB has to as well....or just stay in their bubble forever.
You can go back to 2011 and see how the NBA handled this exact same situation. They didn’t boot him for life.

Really? This is what I just found on his wiki page:

On April 29, NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced that Sterling had been banned from the league for life and fined $2.5 million, the maximum fine allowed by the NBA constitution. Silver stripped Sterling of virtually all of his authority over the Clippers, and banned him from entering any Clippers facility.

Thank you for bringing facts back into this. We just spread information with no references too much.

Anyone else find it ironic that the home run landed in the "Judgement Free Zone" during the apology? Check out the purple banner.

I was actually talking about a different NBA figure who used the same term as Thom did.
