No, I do not think the first-card-in-a-new-uniform will be a thing for Durant. You will learn that both Prizm and LeBron operate according to different hobby rules.

Tom Brady's first Prizm card in a Bucs uniform will be a different story altogether because of his legendary stature. That card will be the closest thing to LeBron's 2019 Prizm card.

Possibly. Its a gamble. He would have to win at least one championship in Brooklyn for that card to be relevant / garner that level of attention. Who knows. Its also not an action shot so its already at a loss.

lebron 1st lakers card wasnt prizm. I think there was 2 before. Everyone is going after prizm because its the most famous.

its going to be harder on KD because all cards available in nets uni are in the same position. Still no game action card.

If KD and Kyrie win it, then perhaps yes. But it would be for Prizm and Optic, and not for Mosaic. Mosaic is not even a top 10 product imo and it just isn’t desired enough for something like first year on team to matter.

optic made leaps and bounds this year in terms of hobby love. prizm is king and it's not close but optic has grown monumentally in desirability. it's not my opinion, just look at the increase in sales prices and also how much it is discussed here on BO. mosaic maybe is top 10, depends on who you ask i guess. but even if it is, it's not in the same solar system as prizm, optic, national treasures, select, immaculate, etc.

If the nets & KD play well, which they will, then his 1st year Nets Cards will 100% increase.

As someone already stated, KD is super cheap right now because he hasn’t played this year. I have been picking up a bunch of his stuff in preparation for next year.

Came here to say the same thing. I think KD Optic holos from this year are selling pretty well, much better than his 2018 Optic holo, so if you're looking at that example, there is some evidence to this being true, but not for Mosaic.

You can save this post for posterity but I see no scenario that the Nets are serious contenders. I think they make a boneheaded trade - or there are issues that arise between Kyrie and KD two vastly different personalities.

On paper, sure. Two superstars on one team increases the odds that the team will do well. But, the jury is still out on whether:

1. They BOTH stay healthy
2. They BOTH can play together, well.
3. They BOTH are motivated throughout the year to make a serious push

Nothing is guaranteed. If one gets hurt, how will the other react? Do the Nets have role players that can compliment the duo?

All these are question marks that makes me stay away from investing any money in these players/team.
