I was sending offers of around 64ish and no one was even responding and then I noticed people were buying all the ones in the mid 60s so just in case the prices were spiking I grabbed one. Last time I bought basketball I could go into Walmart and find optic blasters so this is crazy to me being out of the hobby for a few years.

What is with people posting tik tok videos buying up trays of Chronicles and posting potential profits? Have seen nearly a dozen today. Nothing like bringing more attention for more flippers to get into cards. Use some common sense people.

The masses may not give a stuff about cards or sport for that matter but one thing people love and also need to survive is money and I cant think of many easier legal ways to make quick money than flipping this stuff if you are actually lucky enough to find it in the wild.

Still even if you have to go to 5-10 stores to find it its a flippers dream. Still enough money to be made to pay for your time.

So get use to it peeps. Im not saying it is a great thing and to deal with it. All im saying is its gonna get worse. There will be fights in store like black friday, shady reps, peeps working in teams, heck even as stated above peeps putting on a walmart vest and going out back to grab the stash.

Spend $500 on retail flip $1500. $1000 profit. Most people dont even make anywhere close to that in a 40hrs working week.

I still think these will go down to the $50 range, but yeah I couldn't help myself and bought 4 @ $60. the $10 per box premium is to give me something to do next week. at least it's not the $125 or whatever people were paying a couple days ago... can you imagine seeing these prices now while your overpriced $hit is still in transit?

It’s rough out there. I’ve seen nothing and I keep slightly missing. This morning I checked my local WM first thing and nothing. Came back about an hour later after a couple errands and two guys were wheeling a cart out with the entire haul. I didn’t notice at first but looked down at their cart recognizing the Chronicles from pics. I asked if they cleaned them out, they of course did. I‘ve been checking this Walmart 3 times a day since Monday, at various times, with me living 20 miles from this being my closest WM. I could feel my body crumple when they told me they did. I pretty much begged for one blaster and they turned me down. Don’t no one feel bad for me, but as a collector who loves to bust, this year has hurt. I honestly only had $150 in my pocket, so I wasn’t even going to be able to buy 20% of what was there had I just been the first guy, allowing the next guy to his plunder. Been to 4 other Wallys since and everywhere is already wiped. Rare rant over, fingers crossed for maybe next week

Yeah, I tend to hit the newly listed which has worked for me. The ones I won were at $65 OBO and I would offer $60 so I guess $5 wasn't much to them. The other I won was a lot of 5 and made a total offer that came to $62 each after taxes. Accepted right away. Guess it depends on the seller and how quick they're willing to unload.

I hope so. I think $50 is a lot of peoples number so that might affect that and will prob jump right back up once people see they're selling quick at $50. That first rush of $50-55 if it gets that low prob won't last long.

I was lucky and got a full stock. PSA is going to get behind another 6 months with this stuff. I've opened about 6 blasters, 6 hangers & 12 or so fat packs so far, and have 20 Zion's & 16 Ja's. No numbered cards, 1 Ky Bowman auto.

Where in Oregon are you? I’m guessing somewhere on the westside?

Flippers are okay. They give the market price action. Product has to trade hands to move the price.

Yep its happening. The hobby is going to go to a level where even the new flippers are gonna be out of product when they are competing with 18 more people.

So how about if they’re resellers that were in the hobby before the craze looking to flip to buy more cards? I can understand if some actual hobby people would get pissed and just buy up everything, especially if it’s their first time in months finding something to rip and resell some for a free rip too.

Those $125 boxes are 100% getting returned, haha. I made a deal outside of eBay and got 2 blasters, 2 hangers, and 4 fat packs for $250. Not a bad deal. I’ve been watching lots of eBay auctions but they’re still too expensive for me. Even in lots of 3 or 4, I thought I might find some deals but it looks like most are ending with an average price of $65-$70 per blaster. I can hold out before buying anymore, since I have 2 megas and now this new lot on their way to me.

Same boat here...I’ve been buying basketball cards since 1992. I just want to open some packs. Can’t even do that now.

This is EXACTLY what happened at one wal mart to me...the rep looked like she was going to start stocking then i came and asked if she had any basketball..she said she couldnt tell me and took her basket with the boxes and left without stocking...later on that night someone mass listed cards from chronicles from that town so it seems like she held it back for someone

Yeah that makes sense, I’m assuming some of the people on here posting cartfuls of product are exactly like that, with all the big hits this year it’s worth just busting everything because with retail pricing you will still make a lot of money back. I have no problem with collectors buying up product to rip.

0 for forever at Walmart as always on basketball. A store I got Topps Chrome from last week I showed up right when the rep was stocking. She said 7 guys were waiting for her when she got there and it was all gone.

Shockingly 1 store I thought would be stocked and I was prepared to wait at as of 3:35 never got anything. I guess I would have saved gas but I'd probably still be standing there. Stores that usually don't get stocked for weeks and barely had a card section anymore got a full amount . Anyone else not finding that the Chronicles had been put out at stores that always stock on Thursday or Friday?

Tough, i was going in every day this week too to Walmart but struck out. Heard some of the guys say the rep today actually stocked chronicles Monday or Tuesday at a target, I didn’t bother to go there though because I know he stocks it fridays. He had been only restocking once a week. Today there was none, just a couple cellos of topps chrome.
