Just missed the stocker at my Target. Saw a guy with a few boxes of Chronicles and a bunch of Topps Chrome.

Once you fill the cart up it's bad form to loiter. I wanted to grab a couple of boxes from his cart for myself.

Same for me. I'm unable to add the in-stock notification though, I just have it saved in my favorites. Not like I'd be fast enough to get it with the notifications anyway...

Notifications don't even show up for blaster or mega for me.

So im honestly torn. I got some today at target thanks to an amazong worker who bothered to check out back. 2 hanger, 2 blaster, 2 megas. But now I dunno whether to rip all or sell some....Or hold them ? Plan was to open a few if i could even find them, so maybe stick to that..not sure whats correct..but obviously its fun to open ! Thoughts?

Sell them and get a midget hooker. Of course you open them if that was your plan. Why else did you have a plan?

oh and I checked my Target today, card section looked like it hadn't been stocked in a looooong time. all the remaining pokemon and MTG just scattered around. some old guy with an affliction sweater was standing in front of it with his phone, I presume texting someone that it's not out yet

Sorry, that's what I meant, same for me. It has the "Ship It" button, but obviously that doesn't work. If it was showing out of stock, then it would have the notify button, but I don't think that will show up if the "Ship It" button is there.

Worked 3rd shift last night and had a quick change into 2nd shift today..... Set my alarm a half hour early to check Target before work (on 4hrs sleep). decided to make lunch and hit the stores on the way to work, half hour later im done making my lunch and head to Target. When I get there I see a lady stocking and get excited, as soon as im over there she asks what Im looking for and I say basketball she says all gone, just got cleared out 20 minutes ago!!!!

I double back and ask about chrome baseball, also just got cleared out! head to walmart real quick to see nothing left there either except prizm baseball which means restocked and cleared out already! FML, I just wanted to open some basketball with my kids and I missed it after checking everyday for (sometimes twice a day) for two weeks.

It's frustrating to spend the time hunting for retail when you strike out. They need to stop selling to retailers altogether. They dont need them for sports cards they can put it all online.

You have to realize that most of the guys stalking targets and Walmart’s have no meaningful jobs, families, etc. so this is literally their full time gig. Tough to beat them in that scenario.

Not sure about the job part but can’t say that about families. I’ve seen families working together to take down these retail releases.

Yeah I've given up trying to find retail in stores anymore. It's not even a chase like it used to be, it's an impossibility for most unless you stalk the rep from store to store. There will be a few lucky people that stumble upon some, but that is getting more and more rare.

I’m curious when this all ends or if this is going to be how it will be for now on. I checked my receipt and got Prizm in December and it wasn’t an issue. I remember other things being on the shelves too like Prizm football and baseball. Now there’s just nothing.

So long as superstar base cards from retail products are selling for hundreds of dollars in PSA 10, nothing will change.

Super jealous of everybody in IL finding Chronicles.
I was able to time my Target reps stock this week (She changes it up every now and then so it can be tricky) and she had almost no sports cards at all. She had a couple loose Score Football packs and a couple of Diamond Kings hangers and that was it. Doubt I'll get lucky enough and time her stocking again next week.
