Less than 17 hours left on the Series 3 timer, which means we should be getting the Series 4 checklist tomorrow. Anyone you're hoping to see on there? We've still got a lot of rookies (Alvarez, Bichette, Robert, Lewis, Grisham, Hoerner) so I think we'll see a pretty good rookie checklist in both Series 4 and Series 5. There's also a bunch of high profile guys left, including a bunch of the second to fourth year players (Soto, Acuna, Tatis, Jimenez, Albies, among others), so I think the veteran checklist should be decent. Personally I'm hoping to get a big Cubs checklist after they were relatively absent from Series 1 and 2 (only Lester and Schwarber so far).

Last 2 waves should be very strong. I am still holding out hope for a them sneaking Jasson in. Just think it would add a lot to the overall lore of the set.

i totally get it, but i just can't see any way they sneak jasson into a wave that will, in all likelihood, be MLB-only, while wave 3 was exclusively and specifically MiLB-only

I think we can assume that Luis will definitely be in one of the last two waves. I just don't see how it would make sense for Topps not to include him.

For the Cardinals, I can't imagine they won't include Molina and Flaherty, and probably Goldschmidt and Bob Gibson as well.

The original set did contain prospect cards though, so their inclusion here is fantastic for trying to emulate the original in my opinion.

The listing for the product seems like it was a template that they were going to go back and revise when they decided what the series 4 exclusive parallel would be, then they just forgot to do that. (I'm hoping for Tolstoi, but we'll see). (Edit - Ignore this. I re-read the listing and it seems like their will be a variation in the background of the front, which will presumably be different for each card, with a standard back. I think the foil stamp is to avoid people missing it like they have with the back plate omission).

The team names give us some clues, particularly on the retired players. Nolan Ryan is the California Angels one. The others - Brooklyn Dodgers, Milwaukee Braves, Florida Marlins, Montreal Expos, New York Giants - are yet to be revealed, which allows for my specialty: wild speculation.

For the Dodgers, they've already used Jackie Robinson and Sandy Koufax, so the obvious picks are gone. I'll say Duke Snider or Ray Campanella.

Milwaukee Braves has to be Aaron or maybe Matthews. With Glavine already revealed, they could also add Acuna/Albies/Swanson and make this a Braves-heavy wave.

Florida Marlins is a tricky one. I think Pudge is the only HOFer from their World Series teams, and Miggy would be another candidate if he wasn't still active. The first name that springs to my mind is Jeff Conine, but I'm not sure he really has the stature to be included here. And from Topps' perspective, I'm not sure anyone is going to buy the product for the opportunity to hit a Conine parallel back.

Montreal Expos is another tricky one, with Guerrero already taken. Gary Carter is my pick, but I could also see Randy Johnson.

And for the Giants, Mays has got to be the favorite but I expect one of McCovey, Marichal, and Ott to be included in this set, and I could also see a Christy Mathewson using the original T206 image like they did for Wagner in Series 2.

Bought my 8 packs of wave 3, been trying to spread out my purchases, so usually been ordering the last day. My wave 2 boxes are on their way, no delivery date but seeing where they are, could be tomorrow. The exclusives for wave 4 sound interesting. Checlist will probably be up soon, they have a link for it on the checklist page.

Pretty ho-hum wave 4 checklist IMO. Still largely deserving names that continue making for a good checklist overall, just not much in terms of heavy-hitters. Wave 5 is going to be loaded. Should have Robert RC, Bo RC, Acuna, Soto, Vlad, Betts, Ohtani, Jeter, Mays, and Ichiro.
