Yea I'd much rather pay $230 for 19 topps chrome than $200 for a hobby box of 20, and by what I've seen $200 is cheap for this.

I didn't know Topps Chrome Baseball release was today for retail... i'll have to check it out! I'm newer to baseball but is Topps Chrome one of those Clean out the shelves products? I left a lot of optic on the shelves along with topps series 2

Planning on hitting Target/Walmart Saturday, so I'll check but not holding my breath. knowing my luck, I'll either be too late or they just don't stock it but feel like it's still worth a shot. At the same time, there are a lot of power outages near me so maybe this is my best chance...

Is there a real chance it can all be cleared out by flippers and I will find nothing? Traditionally I rip the first wave that hits my walmart.

Chrome baseball was always easy to find, and I managed to find Basketball Prizm, Optic, and Mosaic in the wild this year, even though I'm just a nobody. (although not great quantities)

FWIW, I pulled a Thanos and only wiped out half. But yeah, in most cases it will be wiped out on sight.

Series 2 is getting wiped out. This is people standing line at Target and buying it all out stuff. Which is why I'm glad I got my few boxes now. Not that I won't buy more if I somehow find them.

It's worth noting, in the past after I ripped Chrome retail, I immediately regretted it and just wished I had bought singles (although the gamble rush was of course fun)

Here's a tip... grab first then take pictures.

In that time spent whipping out a phone another customer can grab what's on the shelf. How would you complain to the manager? I needed a shelf pic to show my retail chops on BO

As for spreading your arms around the shelf or swatting away another customer, be prepared to be banned from that store.
