For sure, but i don't see anyone buying singles of draft picks besides of Zion and Ja. Yet, retail blasters have sold for around $100

I think you are forgetting about all the values of graded paper cards. PSA 10s of base cards are about $75 for a Lebron, $50 for Giannis, $50 for Luka, $200 for Zion, $150 for Ja. And you are potentially getting all these players and probably some multiples in just a blaster box. Unless graded cards all of a sudden go down in value for Lebron and other veterans, the Fat Pack Boxes will be a bargain at $1000 with all the veterans and top rookies that will come out of every box.

Everyone here is going to be kicking themselves for not buying these fat pack boxes for 399 come a month from now.

I maxed out my own buying already and have sold a bunch of my own collection in the past weeks to go all in on chronicles. I'm one step away from going crazy and taking out a personal loan to buy more of these.

It's crazy to assume most cards in a pack/box will be PSA 10s. And it seems like the pricing of these right now is assuming multiple PSA 10s of Zion, Ja, LeBron, Giannis, Luka...

I'm big on Chronicles but these pre-sale prices are redonk. Basically assuming every box is loaded and each hit is a PSA 10.

I've only been paying attention to basketball cards since maybe February. It's crazy how insane prices have risen. Way too rich for my blood. I may swing by Walmart once or twice if/when people start finding Chronicles retail but that's it.

Well to be fair, Mosaic actually did drop a fair amount during the peak supply period. That said, I’ve never seen anything like this from a pre-sale perspective.

I mean fat packs are $6 each and a box of 12 is selling for 400+ (and listed way higher). It’s borderline insane.

In the long run it’s a great buy. Mosaic got to bout 40-50 dollars a blaster/ hanger. Also mosaic released in spurts. If chronicles releases at Walmarts and targets the same week you will definitely see a drop in price imo.

Luckily I bought quite a good amount at retail and second hand for about 25/ a hanger. With this crazy market I might hold for a bit

$1k for a fat pack box is more than 16x msrp man. That is more than any basketball product since 2003-04. I'm not buying the idea that 1k will be a bargain. People paying $600 for this are getting suckered by the hype at 10x msrp. Before we even know how this product breaks no less! This is out of control. That is a sellers market and you should know the adage about buying during a sellers market.
