So now we have 24,000 troops in Germany instead of 36,000.

You just can't help yourself, anything the man does is wrong, even if you have no idea what you're talking about or why.

Of the 12,000 that will find their way out of Germany, a little more than half are coming home to their families (the others spread out to other countries). How can anyone object to bringing 6,000 Americans home, to no longer be soldiers in a foreign country?

Haven't had the pleasure. Frankfurt only for me, and only briefly. Israel is the only non North American place I've spent any amount of significant time in; bu I do hope to hit Europe in the near future.

Sounds like a good thing they’re leaving. Maybe some get to see their families for the first time in a while. I just don’t see the need for our troops to be scattered all over the world.

Not forever, no. They're soldiers, they'll have other deployments to other countries, other US locations. But the non-stop argument from you and others that "Trump did it, so it must be terrible in some way I can't express at the moment" is not a good argument.

Reducing the size of the U.S. soldiers in foreign countries is a GOOD thing. Even if it's only by a few thousand after other deployments happen ... it's a good thing. There are many many many familes who will be thrilled.
