The stimulus is going to pass. Same deal as last time with the $1200 direct payments and at the same levels.

The UI benefit is the contention.

Any idea why Trump needs a new FBI building now? Is the building to small or in poor shape? Is it a poor excuse of a bribe to the FBI? Thats a lot of money when people are hurting.

Trump isn't formatting the stimulus bill and has no say in it.

All Trump wanted was the payroll tax cut and was effectively pushed away like a step child.

This is what I meant when I was saying Donald Trump has no political capital left. He will sign whatever is put in front of him.

As of this morning Trump is still asking for $1.75 billion for a FBI building. Your right Trump has no political capital left but he can still play his childish games. He lost on wall money, lost on payroll tax and now his new foot stomping is a FBI building.

The $600 Unemployment Insurance needs to end.

Either do larger direct payments or push that money through PPP.

As for PPP, if businesses are operating at 50% of their previous Q1/Q2 receipts, they are probably going out of business and PPP is throwing away money by postponing the inevitable.

The intent of PPP was to keep people employed, the UI seemed to counter that logic. Both programs relied on systems that simply weren't ready players - banks and state unemployment.

It's comical that we're talking about more this.

I think the underlying issue was when PPP and the UI were instituted it was seen as a short term, temp bridge.

We are now in month 4 with little to no clear idea of when this will end.

Instead of re-evaluating the needs and solutions it seems they just want to keep adding to that bridge. It seems more and more apparent now we are heading to a very bad end.
