I can't see high end auto dropping too much especially on card auto. But for RC i think it started getting over hype like other sports.

I personally have not ripped any of the new Chrome but sounds like they're similar in production quality as 2018-19 Topps Chrome Uefa. Surface issues galore but the gem prices are handsomely reflecting this.

I was talking about his Salzburg Rookie.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/PANINI-Fusb...R/333652133579

It went for 83 dollars.

You guys arent into the stickers. I feel completely the opposite. Was brought up buying stickers. Always thought the cards were odd.

$80 is about right IMO.

The over hype and pricing of rookies influenced by the utter madness and manipulation from the Basketball quarter is obscene. His prices reflect someone with two or three champions league winners medals already. If Corona hadn't have happened his prices (or Sancho) would be nowhere near where they are.

People were starved and the Bundesliga is all we had.

For a player that has accomplished nothing Id say even 80 is a lot. They were going for 200 ungraded. Boxes were going for 400. Why pay 400 for a box that chances are doesnt even contain the guy.

I bought 2 for 100 euro each. Definitely overspent, especially looking at the graded 9.5 arent moving at 900 dollars.

Camavinga is the next to be over hyped over priced once people see him in the Champions league next season.

I wouldn't say he's accomplished "nothing" - he's already got two league titles and a cup under his belt, albeit in the Austrian League, and he's got a U-20 World Cup Golden Boot. That's more than the vast majority of professional footballers will get in their careers, but I know what you mean.

I feel although Soccer is a popular sport worldwide and fans are passionate, it's not one that's collected as a hobby in terms of trading cards by the masses or the fans. Hockey, similarly.

When I got to a hockey or soccer game it's a different vibe than baseball, basketball or football. Soccer and Hockey fans want to be there and the crowd is 80%+ true fans of the game from start to end. Baseball, you have people leaving at the 7th inning. Basketball, you have people who don't know who's playing. Football, same issues. Lots of "I wanna be seen" or "I want to say I went to a game" type non-fans, especially in big cities like LA or NY.

Collectors are usually not players either, meaning participants in the sport. Generally speaking it's the armchair fan who's either 110 lbs soaking wet or 300 lbs with greasy cheetos fingers who collect sports cards. It's mainly Causasians and Asians who collect if you go to conventions. Blacks do, but don't in masses collect Basketball cards, they play the sport more so. It's not a racist comment nor a negative stereotype or criticism but a true statistical fact.

So, the collector mentality for soccer cards feels niche and not widespread, especially in America where the sport isn't as popular, similar to Hockey, even Golf.

You'll see your Pele, Donovan, Beckham, and whomever is a popular name in Soccer be pursued, but not great players who are underneath the radar. Just as with Golf it's Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicholas with a few other names thrown in.

I just don't see massive soccer fan passion for card collecting. It's going to be valuable and niche, but not mainstream. In that way it's actually great for true fans and the hobby not to get oversaturated by junk nor have prices raised by flip spec folks

Ah, yeah, to say nothing is wrong, but you get the point. Also, he could have gone to any club and basically be a league winner in any major country.

He's had precisely one good half season in a "Big Five" league.....
