The Sterling is pretty. I had a PSA 9 that I sold for like $225 years ago. I regretted it immensely but then was fortunate enough to snag a PSA 10 before the craziness.

Hey everyone, so since purchasing my BGS 10 Bowman Sterling Trout I've been curious as to what the card is really worth nowadays. Since there hadn't been a sale on ebay since late 2018 (before I purchased it last week), I tracked the prices of the BGS 10 Bowman Sterling and BGS 10 Update from the end of 2018, and based on the current price of the BGS 10 Update now, applied a multiplier to the Sterling. Since the Sterling is only a pop 11 the sales were more scarce, so I was only able to find 5 from the same period I used for the BGS 10 Updates. Here's what I found:

BGS 10 Sterling (last 5 sales)
$1,299 - 12/11/2018
$990 - 8/30/2018
$1,136 - 8/7/2018
$1,313 - 6/17/2018
$960 - 2/14/2018

Average of last 5 BGS 10 Sterling sales = $1,185

BGS 10 Update (10 sales from same period)
$960 - 12/10/2018
$1,200 - 12/8/2018
$1,200 - 12/8/2018
$950 - 11/27/2018
$930 - 10/1/2018
$1,050 - 9/25/2018
$1,025 - 9/18/2018
$1,000 - 9/14/2018
$1,030 - 9/13/2018
$1,280 - 8/30/2018

BGS 10 average of 10 sales = $1,063

Now, we find the average of the last 10 BGS 10 Update sales from today.

Average of 10 BGS 10 Update sales today

$6,000.00 - 6/29/20
$6,600.00 - 6/21/20
$6,300.00 - 6/10/20
$6,000.00 - 6/03/20
$6,000.00 - 6/03/20
$6,600.00 - 5/31/20
$6,755.00 - 5/28/20
$7,215.00 - 5/18/20
$6,750.00 - 5/18/20
$6,700.00 - 5/16/20

Average of BGS 10 sales = $6,492

Now to calculate our multiplier:
(Average of current BGS 10 Update sales) / (Average of old BGS 10 Update sales)
= $6,492 / $1,063 = 6.1 Multiplier

Apply the multiplier to the older BGS 10 Sterling average sales:
$1,185 * 6.1 = $7,228 Price of BGS 10 Sterling Today

Considering the BGS 10 Sterling is a population of only 11 compared to the 224 BGS 10 Updates out there, I think this would be a pretty reasonable ballpark for what the BGS 10 Sterling would sell for nowadays. Id knock off 10% since BGS 10 updates are currently selling for about 10% less than their high of a month ago, which would still be $6,500 on the Sterling.

This is nice but I feel we need real sales #s to claim the price of the Sterling BGS 10, not a multiplier....but I see what you mean

Definitely agree but it's only a pop 11 so it might be tough to see sales haha. Honestly surprising that there were 4 sales in a span of 6 months back in 2018 for a card that is so scarce.
