Got these in the mail today. I traded a raw Acuna Topps Update RC for them. Think I came out ahead (in the short term). If Acuna explodes and becomes the next Trout, then I probably will be on the losing end.

Found this while doing some cleaning in my attic. Couldn’t find a box of 2011 Update I forgot I had or a Mantle RC, but this is still pretty cool nonetheless

Grabbed more of these red RC autos all from the same seller. Really happy with the prices. Fried($61) and Rosario($52) were the pricey ones but Dahl for $40 and everyone else $30 or under. I know they aren’t coveted like a few years ago but still among my favorite cards out there.

I finally found one of these at a reasonable price. I really like these orange Sapphire Astros cards.

Nice mailday today! Two SPs and one step closer to putting together the HOF set. Now would be a good time for me to decide whether to grade all my 52s in SGC or PSA. What does everyone think?

I like the SGC for those honestly. PSA also looks sharp though.

I'm starting to come around to the new SGC cases. The older ones were a little too flimsy for my liking but the new cases are solid and the laminated labels are a nice touch. On the flip side, I really like PSA for the cards with red accents, which is popular in 52 topps.

There's really no wrong answer here, it is just a gut punch to pay $20 to crossover a $50 card. Might as well make the call now and stop buying a mix of PSA and SGC cards.

I’ve been really curious about these cards ever since they hit the market. But now that I have one.... Eh.

It doesn’t help that the seller used multiple photos that apparently were taken to conceal the upper-left corner’s issue. But regardless of that, I’m just not a big insert guy. I much prefer parallels. (But hey, at least it came with a microgram of gold!)

While not my favorite mail day, more exciting things are on the way...

Here is three cards I received in the mail from ebay. Each card was between $30 and $40. Each card is a misfit and won't grade super high, but I like the look of each card and these were cards I always wanted when I was younger. I will be sending in for grading, mainly just to have in the case. Think the Henderson is a solid 7, Winfield is probably a 8 OC or 7, and the Ripken is a 6 or 7. Depends on the blemish how they grade the Ripken...
