I know it's easy to ridicule, but that's his thing. Some artists don't need to spend time rendering and what not.

If you're familiar with his work, it makes a lot more sense. Also, I'll point out, I've been following along, and this dude BUSTS HIS ASS. He's ambitious and hungry.

Long term, an artist from this series needs to go big if it's ever going to have a serious impact on the aftermarket prices, but I think Vides has that potential. He's hot AF right now, just look at all the crazy collabs he's doing, this Topps project is just one of many.

Also, his cards are some of my favorite in person.

At least it is an interpretation of a 55 Koufax. There are a few that don't do that.
