If prices plummet, your bid that looked low yesterday will get hit and you’ve now overpaid. If prices go up, your ask that looked high yesterday will get hit and you’ve now undersold.

Ok I understand this now. Take Baller Ichicor, the lowest Ask is 1275, that's currently the lowest anyone is willing to sell. I could bid 900, but it could be awhile before it gets hit.

I’m apparently in the minority, but I really like that Rochester Henderson. Grabbed the pair on Friday, I thought they looked pretty good together.

There are many cards way above MSRP. Comparatively speaking, I don't see a single card dollar wise, that far below MSRP. |

To be fair, I would not be surprised if something from 87-100 ends up below MSRP, and that's the topps individual price, not the 15 it costs if you buy a 10 pack.

I'm curious just how far they'll dip. Will we see another 2 or 3k PR by card #250? It's a looooong race, bois.

I fear it because I hypothesize it may drive the prices of the earlier (1-50) releases down even more. Majority of the elation (including mine) a month ago before Shore Griffey was the assumption PR's would skyrocket and stay there...thus making those earlier low print runs good as gold. "10k never again" << the mantra. Unless I'm totally overstating the importance of PR and it's all about timeframes(?). Maybe.

Yea def some underwater but overall, we should be ok as interest begins to climb. That’s not optimism, That’s reality. We have to remember that card demand is always impacted by the season. Right now, all there is are cards.....no season. Plus some of these cards are so damn purty to deny! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Sweet 16 Recap:
13 seed Ichiro Ermsy took out 17 seed Clemente Cartoon 60-48. Cartoon had gotten a lot of recent interest due to the release of his companion card and send-in autographs. This one was definitely seeded too low, previously taking out 16 seed Gibson Grotesk, 1 seed Ichiro Baller, and 8 seed Ripken Fucci. Ermsy was also probably seeded too low, having defeated 20 seed Koufax Rochester, 4 seed Brett Siff, and 12 seed Henderson Taylor. I think Ermsy had a harder road to get here, and that showed as it pulled out the victory. 2 seed Ermsy Trout easily knocked out 6 seed Griffey Saladeen 75-33. As higher seeds, both had a pretty easy route to the Sweet Sixteen. 1 seed Ripken Siff had no problems with Ripken on Ripken crime, sending 4 seed Ripken Beck home 69-39. Siff's dark theme and splatter have been a hit with collectors since release, and this card will probably haunt children's dreams for decades. No surprise the 1 seed came away with the victory. 2 seed Mattingly Blake likewise had no issues sending 14 seed Jeter Saladeen packing 65-43. Saladeen had punched above his weight, knocking out 19 seed Gwynn Naturel, 3 seed Gooden Vides, and 6 seed Thiele Trout to earn his spot in the Sweet Sixteen. Mattingly Blake would be a tough matchup for anyone, and Cinderella's slipper definitely fell off with the voting a foregone conclusion from the start. In a bit of an upset, 4 seed Henderson Blake took out the iconic 1 seed Trout Baller 64-45. Baller's 35k print run was the first glimpse we had of the peak, having been accustomed to PR's well under 5k. The bold green and yellow of the Henderson wewre enough to sway voters away from Baller's angel wings, Michael Jackson glove, and overly ostentatious bling. 7 seed Efdot Williams had no problems with 6 seed Clemente JK5 68-41. One of Efdot's later offerings that dropped near the peak, voters loved the dark background, the references to Williams' military service, and the Citgo logo making a cameo. JK5's Star Wars references were a nice tough, but not enough to take him over the top. In the battle of the Blowout Darlings, 1 seed McGwire Blake easily dispatched 12 seed Gwynn Efdot 67-42. Blake's McGwire dropped at the perfect time near the peak, and benefited from the ESPN McGwire / Sosa documentary last week along with the 4th of July looming. Hard to take this one out, and Efdot's efforts are clearly growing in popularity with collectors as Project 2020 progresses. His print runs and Patreon following clearly show the other artists that there is definitely an upside to interacting with fans and incorporating their feedback into upcoming cards. Iconic 2 seed Griffey Shore tragically fell to 6 seed Jeter Siff 47-62. The Griffey, having killed Project 2020 with his 99k print run, was not able to kill the mudflap bracket. Siff is an interesting card on many levels, having dropped during the peak with a print run of 48k. Many collectors purchased this card as a knee jerk reaction to the other cards around that time, but they are starting to notice that the artwork on this one is actually pretty spectacular. It serves as a contract to the Mattingly Siff "blueprint card" that was the previous offering from the artist. Unfortunately this card is not yet in hand, but I feel that many collectors such as myself are looking forward to having it in hand so that it can truly be appreciated.

Elite Eight Preview:
Ermsy is guaranteed to have a card in the Final Four. His 13 seed Ichiro and 2 seed Trout have risen to the top of the 1-25 group. The twists and turns of the Ichiro go up against the smoke and loops of the Trout. Trout was the first card that really drew attention to Project 2020, with a print run at the time of an astronomical 2.9k. Ichiro actually has a lower PR of 1.9k. 1 seed Ripken Siff squares off against 2 seed Mattingly Blake. 2 great cards, straight chalk in the 26-50 group, will be interesting to see how it turns out. 4 seed Henderson Blake is matched up with 7 seed Williams Efdot. The Blowout Darlings have been paired together before, but the stakes are higher this time with Willams the last Efdot card alive in the bracket. Both cards have taken out higher seeds in the past, but this round is for all the Tostitos. 1 seed McGwire Blake finds itself taking on upstart 6 seed Jeter Siff in the 76-100 division. Both cards found the public's eye near the peak. 2 very interesting takes on the originals, and both are offerings from artists who have been active within the community.

As for p2020. I haven’t bought a card in a couple of weeks. Wanted to, but couldn’t do it. I’m sure I’ll be kicking myself later. How are you on this fine day? |

Interesting Elite Eight facts:
Artists: Blake x3 Siff x2 Ermsy x2 Efdot x1 Blake can potentially have 3 cards in the Final Four. Siff can potentially have 2 cards in the Final Four. Players: Ichiro x1 Trout x1 Ripken x1 Mattingly x1 Henderson x1 Williams x1 McGwire x1 Jeter x1 There are 3 main factors that contribute to a card's value - artist, player, and print run. I wonder how much of this is the "blowout bias". Blake and Siff are killing it, Efdot not far behind with a good showing in previous rounds. Can someone track down Ermsy in France and get him to post on this thread? I will leave the current poll up for a few days since we are getting into the home stretch. I'm not in the facebook group, but for those of you who are, can you please share this link on any social media available? Would love to get 500 responses from twitter, FB, insta, etc. https://freeonlinesurveys.com/s/lTNmvfw2 Thanks to all you companions.
