Default 1968 Nolan Ryan Rookie - Real or Fake?

I'm questioning whether this card is real. After a quick google search for what to look for, I'm still not sure. The color looks fine, although it may be glossy on the front. "1968 Rookie Stars" looks solid. Does anyone have any thoughts here? I'm considering sending to PSA but want to at least have some chance that it's real to spend the money.

Thank you!

Looks fake IMO, way too glossy on front and would be a PSA 10 if real which is basically impossible

Back picture doesn't seem to have any grain at all, as though it was printed on modern cardstock.

Default Looks

Looks bad, orange toning on faces doesn't look right (among other tell-tale signs, good centering/ super sharp / etc.

All signs lead to a fake.

It looks like a fake, and from the scan not even really a good one. That aside, no 68 has ever had edges and corners like that.

Send it to PSA. It will come back PSA 10 real. They grade anything trimmed or fake.

Can you post a pic of the edges straight on? They appear to be white which is huge red flag. Even trimmed vintage cards should have a lighter brown color to them as opposed to a weathered brown look to them. Maybe a better shot with the card on angle to pick up the surface a little better too.

I think it's absolutely a fake from what I see. 1968 Topps has a consistent "cross hatch" pattern on the borders. The pattern isn't consistent as some areas appear to be just a solid color.

Also, take a look at legit Ryan rookies. Koosman and Ryan's hats on the left side have a slight "shadow" to them. That shadow is no where to be found on this card. I'm sure there are other queues that I haven't found on there. Not to mention the color looks off in general.

I am no expert in this but the back does look way too smooth for a card from that era.
