Had a 2014 SRT8 Challenger in Torred that I bought for my 40th Birthday in 2014. Sold it at 60k miles. it was an Amazing engine built around a trash car. I have always been a Mopar guy, and will buy another challenger if they ever fix the control arm issues, alignment issues, and rust issues and body problems. (My car literally could not be aligned properly, and was covered in tiny dents from torque twisting the body)

Really want to buy a new Cobra or Hellcat but the prices are too high for me.

I picked up this 1997 Cobra with 88 miles on it after sitting on the dealer lot for a year. The sticker price was just under 28K and got it for 22.5k. Only 68k miles on it now after 23 years.

Had a challenger for many years, best car I have ever driven. Planning on buying another. Low cost to maintain and still going at 127,000

Sadly as a Mopar guy, I have to agree. "Low cost to maintain " $1200 + for 4 tires, 19mpg on premium, 8 quarts of full synthetic every 3 to 4 months. When I got rid of mine I saved $450 a month on Gas alone.

Then you won the Chrysler electronics lottery. I suppose it may be possible that models built in some plants have a better track record than others.

Hey, the numbers and the specs of their stuff is beastly. I've just seen and had too many issues to ever buy another...and at times I hate it because I really like the look and performance of some of what they sell, I just can't bring myself to take that plunge again. There are too many other options out there. I'd love to have a Jeep but at this point, I'm waiting to see what the Bronco is going to be about. In all likelihood, I'll just keep my truck and see if it can get me through another 7 years.

For conversational purposes -

My brother pulled the bumper cover off on a curb... First (and last ) time he ever drove it.
He sheared the bumper cover bolt hole on the passenger side, so the bumper cover just kind of flopped around on that side. Decided to replace bumper cover.

The passenger headlight is also broken, and flopping around. Decide to replace headlights.

Order replacement bumper cover and headlights.

Decide to wrap new bumper cover and hood in carbon fiber wrap. Seems like the cheap route to go, over having the bumper cover painted.

When pulling the old bumper cover, I snapped the fender bolt head off on the other side. The threads on the bolt were 2mm larger than original size due to rust - no wonder why the head broke off

Go to junk yard, get bumper bolt and clip.

I also found the bumper bar completely rusted through, as well as one of the air seals had been cut in half. Decide to replace Bumper bar and air seals at this moment.

Order bumper bar and air seal.

Realizing I couldn't get anything inside of the fender to remove the broken bolt, I removed the fender and pulled the clip with the broken bolt fairly easily. This so far has been the only thing to go according to plan haha

Here I decide to upgrade fog lights - order fog lights.

Begin to remove fog light bezels and emblem from bumper cover - immediately break driver side fog light bezel clip as well as the ram emblem top clips. Realize passenger side fog light bezel was previously broken and super glued to bumper cover. Order fog light bezels and get emblem from junk yard.

Decide that since the front end body parts are already mostly taken apart - that I want to wrap the whole car. Order sample wrap colors to make final decision on color.

Start prepping the rest of the front side for wrap.

Discover that the windshield side trim is glued in, and that all of the clips are broken on both sides. Order neused trim pieces from ebay, and order new clips.

And that is where I am at now haha
