Any other guesses?

I'm gonna guess at the specific one listed with the stain or whatever that is on the surface...I say 3.5k to 4k

That is true.. that information might scare away a few serious buyers here on BlowOut.

mlbexpert's card

Reggie's card

Any idea why the PSA label is on opposite sides of the card? It's the same card but on MLBexpert's card, the label is on the left... on Reggie's card, the label is on the right....anyways, just a late night observation

I noticed that too. Bizarre. And bad for OCD.

Was trying to decide what I like better. At first preferred orientation on Reggies when I looked at them, but then realized the “Los Angeles” font in grey area is oriented corrected with the flip on mine. So not sure.

I have a bit of OCD with my collecting.. and having the PSA slab on the opposite side bothers me for some reason.

This card below is on the other side and completely different from all my other Trout cards. It truly annoys me, but I don’t want to send it to PSA. I’m too lazy and don’t want to take the chance to lose it in the mail.

what I like about yours is that if you stand the holder up, you can read LOS ANGELES

what I like about Reggie's is that it reads like a book, from left to right... you see the card first and then the grade and card information

I guess it just comes down to preference

You can't change the title after a bid has happened.

I just searched “2011 Trout Prime Cuts” now and it finally shows up. Early this afternoon, when I received the message about the card, it didn’t show up (when I searched for it) for some reason? It also didn’t show up in my saved searches this morning. Maybe the “about this item” (item preferences) information has a search delay?

Gorgeous!!!

With the power of the Registry... I often wonder... would this be one of those cards that a PSA 9 would actually be more valuable than a BGS 9.5???

You ever thought about crossing?

are you serious? why would a lower graded card be worth more? I never understood "the registry". You get more points on "the registry" as you collect more cards or why is everyone so obsessed with "the registry"?

I'm a "BGS Guy" (like the subgrades, having an auto grade, etc), so I'll probably never even consider a cross-over, although I understand why people do..I'm fine with the 9.5.

Dead serious! It's only a lower graded card if you get hung up on the fact the label says 9.5. PSA doesn't have a 9.5 on their grading scale, and the 9 centering subgrade virtually guarantees a PSA 9, at best.

Can't speak for everybody, but for me I like the registry because completing a set gives a sense of accomplishment to my collection... and an enhanced sense of pride for those sets in which I hold the #1 spot (Mike Trout Rookie Set, not being one of them ). Additionally, as stated above... only 99 of these cards exist and there are already 122 registered Mike Trout Rookie sets completed and/or being worked on, on the Registry.

That leaves a lot of people looking for this card. A lot of people that would want it. Consider this though... a 9 or above, regardless of TPGer is probably a $5000+ card. That means a $500 grading fee from PSA to cross this particular card. Given that, yes, I do believe and hypothesize that a PSA 9 would sell for more than a BGS 9.5 (probably not a true gem with 1 or more 10 subgrades)... but a non-true gem, yeah, I believe it definitely would.

What's the difference between completing the Trout rookie set where they are all PSA vs where they are all raw? In the end, both people have the same cards in their collection.
