Yeah I don’t think it matters unfortunately they can still just say they changed their mind, Covid 19, ect.

I am going to start using a disclaimer when selling and list individual cards. No bulk listings. Most likely a moot point as Ebay will still side with the buyer on my cases. Basically, it doesn't matter.

StockX > eBay. The continuous return horror stories made me make the switch. Although prices seem a bit lower there from a seller perspective unfortunately.

Everything I needed to know in life I learned from Project 2020...

1. Be Patient (you can't buy it all at once)
2. Be Kind (you want to be treated fair also)
3. Be Humble (you might not be able to buy everything)
4. Be Content (your card is just as good as another)
5. Be Curious (this project is different, so ask questions)

WAY TO EARLY. I wanted to vote for Card #390 George Brett by Efdot. I see what you did though, the first 100 cards.

Pro tip: block everyone in the thread who is negative about Project 2020. All you’ll see is pump gifs, artist crush posts, and pictures of Wheeler’s stash. You can pretend it’s still Memorial Day weekend. The good old days.

The number of ebay auctions is insane. A couple of very sp cards seem to be meeting some resistance, but the overall volume is unrelenting.

I havent seen that objective data pull from ebay sales recently. That was a pretty cool summary of things (at least for a data nerd like me). I wonder if that report would paint the same picture.

looks like 12,931 auctions out of a total PR of 1,122,082= 1.51% not too crazy

esp considering various odd ball listings and auctions associated with cards #75+

The good news is that it has no chance of stopping as long as the "10 packers" continue to do their thing.

We’re you one of the first to buy, with expedited shipping.

Or were you one of the last to buy in the window, with SurePost?

There’s no law that says Topps has to print these in numerical order and ship every single card out before they can fire up the presses for the next card. There’s multiple presses working on multiple cards at a time now and naturally, Some get finished first.

Topps just shipped out my #72 Rivera 3 days ago, #51 baller trouts 2 days ago, and #77 Saladeen Ichiro yesterday.

There’s no reason to be super worried about these not coming. They all come sooner or later!!!

In other news, cards I bought 3 days ago are still hovering around the same price. That's different!

TOTAL EBAY LISTINGS (10:18AM): 13,111
TOTAL SET PR: 1,122,082
TOTAL TOP 10 PR CARDS: 517,177
TOTAL TOP 10 PR EBAY LISTINGS: 3,023

Removing both the Top 10 PRs and the Top 10 PR Listings you have:
TOTAL PR: 604,905
TOTAL EBAY LISTINGS: 10,088

1.66% eBay listing

Note- the current listing number is inflated by pre sales for cards currently on Topps

I am not overly concerned here. If the number was like 20% then yea- time for panic but when 1-2% of the overall card prints are listed for auction/bin thats not toooo bad IMO.

if my math is off dont crush me, on a work break so did it quick

Default Topps Project 2020 is the worst product since 1991 Fleer

This is not directed directly at you per se, just hashing some thoughts that formed in the shower and realizing how many salty people there are here who are blind to the massive amounts of profits to be made every week with this.

Most times I read stuff with vibes like this is because people are jealous and/or salty. It’s hard to have $300 every day to buy the packs, especially if you’ve lost a lot of money on these so far. But let me tell you- while everyone’s portfolios continue to tank, mine continues to appreciate, thanks to continuous purchases of new release 10 packs!!!!

Hate on the “10 packers” all you want, but were the ones who recognize how to still gain money in this uncertain and fluctuating time in the product. Not a single card I’ve bought for $14.50 has depreciated, and even if the card is just $25-30, multiply that $10 increase for these across the now HUNDREDS and Hundreds of cards from the growing 10 packs- and you start to see thousands of dollars in the green.

If you’re not willing to put in the work to flip 9-10 cards for a $10 profit each, rinse repeat with each release as the year goes on, and are sticking around only buying SPs or just holding your half valued cards- you’re gonna lose your ass in this. With the exception of sealed retail wax at msrp, what else in this hobby has a guaranteed initial green swing?

Most wont read this or won’t care- probably the same ones of you who didn’t listen to my warnings about selling these on eBay- or the buying and selling warnings that were spot on. But hopefully this post and me spelling out, yet again, simple mathematics can change at least one persons outlook on the product. Maybe even reduce the salty vibes.
