Thanks much! This is the way my brain works and I love this stuff too obviously. With this set the other side of my brain can rest in the beauty of the art while I furiously analyze trends and hope I can come up with conclusions based in some sort of reality.

Been keeping an eye on trout auctions. Creeping down but slow. Down to 30ish and some seller has 7 ending at the same time tomorrow. If things work out may be down to teens by next weekend.

Problem i see is a lot of people threw up 7 or more day auctions. Someone bids marketprice that day. 7 days later they win the auction at 25% of current market. Some pay some cancel ask for refunds etc. cards go back on market again at a lengthy time frame again. Sellers get tired and instead of putting a BIN above market and open offers they are undercutting BIN to move product. But they are gonna be swallowed all up at some point on these low pr. Until that day the knife is still falling.

Really good point on the auctions thank you. I'm gazing at gobs of new low priced auctions being thrown up in the last couple hours. Not a good sign.

Presales softened in the last couple of days. Prices seem to be firming up a bit on the premier pieces (Ermsy Trout, Baller Ichiro, Beck Gooden). Plenty of stuff I coulda gotten cheaper this weekend than earlier in the week (Chang Gibson, Efdot Mays, Siff Ripken, Naturel Gwynn).

But my number one target, (EDIT) Taylor's Henderson, is holding strong while the Vides has dropped precipitously.

Gotta say, Blake is A1 with the interviewing skills. He should really look into doing a regular art podcast. Interesting learning about all their backgrounds and approaches.

No kidding, that Taylor Henderson is solid as a rock. I never see them available late into auctions for less than $140 its crazy. Someone or someone(s) seem to be willing to buy all there is in the mid $100's. Could it be the crazy awesome visceral appeal of the card or is there something else going on? I've been looking to pick one up over the last week and haven't gotten a chance for any kind of "deal".

On another note, lets do some more inventory analysis. I want to show ya'll the difference in ebay closed sales vs current inventory of different releases.

Number of TP2020 sales is high with respect to current listings because of all the presale orders being placed with bulk sellers who use one listing to sell high quantities. That is my interpretation.

Does a sale show on ebay sold listings after 1 sale or only after all 10 or whatever are gone? Topps Living has the same issue and its ratio is the smallest of all. Obviously Topps Living doesn't have much of a following any more.

I kind of regret not going for more artist sets back when I started. I'm really liking the Grotesk, JK5 & Saladeen cards, but never picked up any of their first couple releases and only plan on buying from Topps going forward. Oh well.
