Maybe it has to do with that.

I didn't even bother looking at JK5 Companion auctions and listings when they were selling well over $200. Saw a couple auctions went really cheap the other day. Hoping I can end up getting one for around $130.

How dare anyone speak ill of Chang’s work. When it’s all said done, she’ll be the most popular. She hasn’t even done the big 3 yet.

If the card doesn't move inside the holder, it might have been wedged in. One of my Gooden's has a faint dent in the top border and it doesn't move inside the holder....from the side, it looks slightly bowed but it's hard to be sure. I think they jammed it in there.

The centering on these is all over the place, too.

I'm in a worse boat than you. I went in on P2020 on 5/28. Basically the peak. I won't get into the reasons why I didn't get started earlier, lets just say I was distracted. But I needed something in my life that I could get engrossed in on 5/28 and there P2020 was. Beautiful iconic cards of iconic players. 20 artists. Insane prices. This forum.

I knew rationally P2020 was in a bubble, that it couldn't be sustained. I didn't care. I wanted skin in the game for the emotional connection to the story that is P2020. I ended up buying about $1500 worth of presale $100-$200 cards that are now in the $30-$50 range. Haven't cancelled a single order. Wouldn't dream of it, UNLESS my particular seller can't get me my card within a reasonable time period of them showing up in the wild. How much time is that? A month? Guess we will cross that bridge when we get to it. Suggestions appreciated.

I didn't stop purchasing with that initial buy in. I've bought between 2 and 5 of every card starting at the Griffey Shore either from Topps of Twinsjake. I knew rationally I would be buying into excessive print runs, but didn't care. I wanted to be along for the ride and not miss a thing.

I've continued consistently buying older, shorter printed cards all the way down. I went from buying 8k-30k print run cards for $150-$200 to buying 2k-8k print run cards for $40-$130. Got me a Siff Ripken for $120, stoked! A couple Ermsy Williams (which are amazing in hand), some Changs which I tend to enjoy more than the average person on the boards. I've slowly come around on Naturel, got me a Mcgwire for $100. Stoked! At this point Naturel is in my top 3 for some reason. The triangles mesmerize me. Won a couple Saladeen Mattinglys for $80ish each Stoked! Love that card. I've bought another $2k+ of older, lower print run cards on the way down.

Has it been tough watching values get tanked in record time? YES! But its afforded me the opportunity to get in on earlier cards I thought were out of reach. I plan on eventually going after the full 400. Its a monster task coming in so late, but I'm excited to give it a try.

I can't remember a STORY like P2020 in the last 3 weeks in our hobby before. Its beautiful, how the natural progression of demand outpacing supply turned into pump and market manipulation and the subsequent collapse of prices. We went from 1000%+ gains on average to drops of 80%+ on some cards from their highs. In a couple weeks Breathtaking. And as others say we are only 1/4 of the way through. I'm really excited to see how this plays out, with much lower volatility assuredly.

Seeing new cards every day that speak to my soul, the soul of a man who was a boy that was in heaven around baseball cards is priceless. Its worth the ride and the $$$ loss to me. Not sure my wife would agree but thats ok.

So finally I come to my prediction. Ninjacookies posted the chart of emotional reactions to boom and bust a number of days ago. BTW Ninjacookies you make me smile with almost every post, and I've laughed out loud numerous times as well. You are one smart, witty, funny dude. Thank you. Back to the chart. The "despair" trough....I predict this as the "Weekend of Despair". Numerous long time posters here are cashing in. Prices capitulate down another 10-20% from here, down 90% from the highs in some cases. And print runs start becoming more of a topic. New cards start creeping up in value. And the bottom is in. We shall see. Thanks everyone for all the entertainment.

I can see collecting the set but in a few years when prices stabilize and collectors move on to something different. I can only imagine many cards will be available for less than the issued price of $20 bucks each.

Nice to know I'm not the only one getting miscut cards. The Williams Efdot is as brutal as Gooden Cartoon, if not worse.

I ain't #$%t though. Just another red blooded p2020boi chiming in with others during this exhilarating roller coaster ride. The entertainment and experience > the financial waves and support/resistance levels, my friends. Band of Brothers 4 lyfe.

We are getting new posters here with quality posts. No reason to think this won't continue for the next 300 cards.

Ninja is fine, I'd rank him somewhere between Tyson Beck and Efdot.

I just jumped into the last couple of posts and thought to myself "why is everyone discussing Ninja, the professional video game player? Man, these sneakerbois really rubbed off on people."

Ninjacookies is chill, though. Ninja cookies, on the other hand, is a terrifying premise. Gluten that sneaks up on you? No ma'am!

I'll definitely consider grabbing some of his other cards. Also a couple Rochesters that have really started to grow on me, currently own zero of his. I'll probably pick up cards from both artists in the future, and maybe some of the older ones if the prices drops enough.
Nice post.

I think it’s important to remember we are constantly hearing the same thing from many different buyers...they like the cards more when in hand and more as time goes on, (they grow on us).

Just wait until complete player and artist sets are put together. They are going to look fantastic. They are only 20 cards deep, and people will chase them. Once they complete one 20-card set, they will move on to the next one, and then another. It might turn into an obsession.
