I would recommend you contact yavinfour to see if a return was also requested with him. I'd bet on it. If so, the both of you can take your case to eBay together.

So far, the main thing that seems to matter on prices is print run. The one big exception being the Trout Baller. Obviously a popular player with a popular artist has a better chance of selling with a high print run. But it's pretty tough to believe that Nolan Ryan pr 64,000, Tony Gwynn pr 30,000, and Mattingly pr 27,000 will be worth more than what you paid when all are in hand. |

I ve said it before, and Ill say it again...You guys need to just accept these returns,Without pissing off the buyer...If you dont, you risk getting your card back in 4 or 5 pieces and nothing will happen to the buyer because,he'll say he got it that way

It's looking like print runs are coming down quicker than I thought but still if they stay between 15,000-50,000 that is not good for anyone buying new cards.

I’ve lost thousands of dollars on P2020 getting in right before/around the peak and here are my thoughts:
1. These cards are gorgeous. I put my Jeter Saladeen and Trout Baller next to my PSA Doncic optic holo, Zion prizm silver, Judge update gold and it’s clear what cards I prefer as a collector..the P2020 ones. I can’t be the only one that feels that way and for that reason alone, I’m selectively buying direct from Topps on the last 300 cards and will be finishing my Jeter and Don C sets. 2. I have no clue what caused this selloff. I bought the top players from the top artists and low print runs. I think the highest print run I bought as investment was probably Saladeen Jeter at 9.8k. I thought sky high print runs on the new cards would make 1-80 rise and the opposite happened. For those saying 10k is still a lot, there are 15.4k Doncic prizm base rookies in the PSA registry alone. This doesn’t count parallels like silvers, BGS/SCG numbers, raw cards out there, etc. and it’s not like you can buy raw Luka prizm base under $150 nowadays. Baseball print runs are even larger than basketball and no problems. Clearly the size of the hobby can support 10k and even higher print runs on a Shore Griffey. I’m not sure what happened on this collapse. 3. I said this the day Shore Griffey print run came out but every card released since then and going forward for the near-medium term is going to be worth the cost of an empty box and ultra pro magnetic. The key for me to the print runs is collectors vs. those in it for money. Given eBay pre-sales (I believe this segment is largely collectors) only accounts for 1-2% of the Topps final print runs, I’m in the camp these cards you won’t get your $15 back by the time they’re in hand. Look at the race to the bottom on Baller Trout and its 35k print run is lower than most of what is being released now which will be much less desired cards. I don’t care if you think Oldmanalan’s take on the 1954 Topps Ted Williams is a much better looking version vs. the original whose yellow makes the missing top border look bad and how great this card looks. I love the card too and we can talk like baseball card nerds about it but from a value perspective, who gives a crap, this card is a “boring” artist and a “boring” player that most of us never watched and will be worth less than toilet paper by the time it’s in hand. If you’re going to buy, stick to card 1-86 4. To all the blowout members who sold me cards over the last week or two and have given it to me hard up the rear as a result, don’t worry I’m honoring my buys. However, it’s annoying as hell that quite a few of you are in this thread literally gloating that cards (you still own also!!) are going down in price saying I told you so. It’s tiresome. Guess what, the thousands I’ve lost are now thousands that won’t be going back into the card market anytime soon including for your cards until I sell back into the market and recoup my losses. 5. How do I get a thosebackpages rookie auto card? I want one, however while I lick my wounds from these massive losses, I probably can’t afford the on-card rookie auto anymore so anybody have a sticker auto to sell?

just received a couple of packages from Vince - Beck Bretts and Blake’s Rickey. Topps must be getting these out the door quicker.

Seems like an opportunity for a little arbitrage if you're a) willing to put in the leg work and b) can withstand the risk that these prices flip-flop

I feel bad for you sellers. I bought 4 or 5 Ballers around $200. Way under on those but I won't be returning. Not in my blood. Will just keep dollar cost averaging on a few of these cards I've decided to collect going forward.

Thinking they really ramped up with the increased production. If they can't knock out a 5k print run how do they expect to handle 99k
