Very nice! I’m waiting on a few of those myself. I definitely don’t have the biggest collection on this thread, but I’m happy going for 3 player sets (Trout, Jeter, Clemente), 3 artists (Blake, Saladeen and Taylor), and picking up other random ones I like. I do think I will cave soon and get all of Efdot’s (if anyone wants to make me a deal on his McGwire & Mays cards, PM me).

I agree. I have a few things listed but not playing the undercutting game.

As others have alluded to, many collectors are gamblers and willing to extend theirselves. Over-leveraged people need the cash now.

The same principle that got everyone excited by the non-collectors spending money on these cards applies here. Many, many non-collectors didn’t know how to buy from Topps even as new releases were coming out. Now many of them are just throwing their cards out in the wild hoping to make anything.

May suck now but hey that’ll be 10 less cards being sold by a panic seller in the future when cards get a little harder to find.

One thing that's different about this set - I look at the cards! For the last 20+ years, when I buy a card, I get it in the mail, I log it on my sheet, and I file it away. The next time I see it is if/when I ever decide to sell. I go through P2020 cards often. They're neat!

Something seems off. It almost feels like some people thought all you had to do was buy at any price and things would continue to go asymptotic. Then, after spending money they couldn’t afford to lose, they were forced to sell at whatever short-term market clearing prices were there.

Strange. So I’m starting to suspect not every buyer in this market is infinitely capitalized.
