Is it weird that I’m into 2 Baller Trouts at $150 apiece, and 3 Thiele Trouts for $150 apiece, and all I want to see use these cards go down more so I can buy more?

You know, for those that all took a haircut over this week in prices, research “dollar cost averaging”. If you lost 50% and then bought another at today’s prices, average your cost back down to 75% of original purchase price, you’d also reduce the number of cards in circulation which would have an added effect of driving prices up.

I find it interesting that 9 Derek Jeter Siffs just sold for $26.99 today. One sale was a quantity of 8. If people are out because of the Shore Griffey print run and stabilization of 1-80, so be it. I'll take a $13 gross per card all day.

One of the things I’ve been thinking would be really cool, especially if all the new releases basically trade at MSRP is, is to make some sort of custom coffee table display (like under glass) for the man cave. Obviously not going to do that with real expensive cards; but I might with the “best of the rest”.

For example, I love the Gwynn from today.

This weekend will be a great time to dollar cost average and increase positions. If you thought it was a good value to buy previously, you can get a discount today to buy another. When everyone swaps their cost basis of the cards from $17 to $200-500, people will be willing to hold for longer terms which will drive up prices.

Buy 1 more. If 1000 people buy one card, the momentum changes.

TBF, Trout is locked up on a long term deal and everyone else is retired so I don’t think they will be asking for extensions
