Mr. Padre card has been getting attention in San Diego, and also from his son, Tony Gwynn Jr.

Tony Jr. used to play for the Padres, Dodgers, Phillies and Brewers. Now he's a sports broadcaster / radio host.

Yesterday he replied to my IG story, and TODAY I'll be going live on his radio show at 4:20 Pacific, 7:20 ET!! San Diego's top sports station 97.3 The Fan

Tune in online @ https://www.radio.com/973thefansd/listen

It will be a short 10 minute interview so come on time if you wanna hear it! Thanks everyone.

If you didnt get in on the Don C Ripken, it'll at least be a $30 card by this time next Friday. I'm not trying to pump the card. I actually dont recommend buying in now unless its for your PC. But for the doom and gloom peeps, it's a card that'll appreciate just fine. For me, anything above a 100% ROI is better than I expected

Wow, these things dropped like a rock today. Count me as one of maybe 50k other fools who bought a Shore Griffey and burst the tulip bubble

I do think we have hit the bottom. There was A LOT of buying today. Got offers constantly, lower than willing to accept but a lot more than previous days.

It will be interesting to see what happens - still have 18 x Henderson Taylor PR 2104 and 48 x Jeter Saladeen. Had 180 cards beginning of week, have 160 now, and have recouped my full investment + $1k so whatever happens is gravy. Still though...a $20k drop in value will always hurt a bit.
A lot buying the dip. Those same people will buy the rise. They'll also buy the peak.

Will it be an all out rush to the bottom like the good ole days or will those early cards with low pr and/or top tier names and designs bounce back over the long haul?

I for one am somewhat selfishly glad things are starting to normalize as i had 5 cards pre-ordered, from an ebay seller, that had gone up like 20 times over what i paid at the (artificial) high point only days after i bin'd them and are now closer to maybe x8-12...

Very likely i actually receive them at this rate

If you bought 1, you lost maybe $5? I guarantee anyone buying 2020 Bowman blasters are losing $10 a box if not more.

Ehh it’s still early in the game. Price shot up at an unsustainable pace and in the coming weeks will settle to consistent levels. These cards are unlike any other and will hold value in the long term in my opinion. Just not at the levels they jumped up to.

Damn it, I just bought a jumbo box. Hope Bowman doesn’t tank! (Paid $350 for it from my supplier so may just flip it)

Lot of businesses made offers to me today. Business owners playing against the panic selling. Smart.

I'm not worried about the 5 bucks i lost lol, just feel bad i helped contribute to the massive value loss for those who bought or sold presales or dropped big cash on some of the recent 10K+ pr cards

It was a huge rise. A lot of sellers are going to be nervous over the short term. I think these will settle and then people will wake up and realize, "Oh snap, these things are freakin' rare!" and 1-80 will start to rise again. I'm sure not up to previous levels, but you never know.

You guys need to have some foresight. Think of how much some of these earlier cards will be worth outside of a week window. 6 months from now, 2 years from now ect.

I would have liked to get rich off these but I was slow on the uptake. I’m happy now just doing my Griffey Jr. and Don C. run. Plus whatever other one offs I like.

Speaking of Blasters, I just found a blaster baseball case of "2019 Topps Chrome" behind some boxes of coins.

I performed an Ebay search and the last one sold for $874.90.....

That will be "Topps Project" money.

I was thinking that.

I should put it back where I found it, so I can find it again next year....

Definitely sell that! The top autos are few and far between and flagship has pretty much caught up to the base.
