Can we talk more about the cards themselves? The artists seem to be getting better and better. Today's Thomas is Fucci's best yet.

I will try to reserve judgement until seeing the final card.... But news of a Baller/Blake collab on the Trout is rather disappointing. I don't want diamonds all over a Blake card.

Bottom of the card gonna say Ben Baller helped on this card?

Seems kinda lame to do a collab but trying to drive more marketing i guess.

In the same boat. I absolutely love the card but suspect I won’t be able to justify keeping it once the price settles.

That is what happens with all kinds of investments. Others are scared and selling? Time to buy. I am. I make a huge chunk of my money doing exactly that. Acuna has been especially fun because of the runs his cards take in very short spans. You know what the ceiling is capable of being. So when you see something go the opposite direction take advantage of it. You can't have scared money. Scared money don't make money. I never "invest" money that I cannot afford to lose. So with that being said, I don't throw money into something with that scared mentality, because it isn't a huge deal to me if I lose a little. What you are seeing is the credit card people trying to lock in some gains to pay off their cards.

Thats something he can take to his company investors (in his others businesses) and say..."look I can control markets, predict markets, and I can build markets". Thats far more valuable to him than flipping $1k art cards.
This is a more logical synopsis. My theory is a play off a local radio show bit that makes predictions that might be a little outlandish. There might be some truth to what I am saying and yours fits more the GaryVee marketing strategy.

I was a little dissappointed at first as well. But listening to Blake recently, I really feel like he brought Baller in to improve the card itself. Obviously its a profitable move but Blake is an artist, he takes pride in his work.

I'm holding out til I see the final product as well but I don't see how it isn't what we expected and more

lol GaryVee is like the Ken Goldin of cards today. If he had a Don West it would be like watching HSN all over again. I don't buy cards based off what one guy says.. didn't do it then.. won't do it now. But for some reason people keep listening to guys like that... hype train.. when the hype was already there well before they entered the picture.

Just so I'm clear...tons of people were chanting and running around (for weeks) saying "pick up the low PR stuff...we are about to have a big boom in PRs". People were thinking longer term. Then when the big PR hits, some of those long term planners are now allowing short term thinkers to affect their plan? And now people are running for the hills and racing each other to the bottom w/ those same low PR cards? After a couple of days of a "lull"? I think I'll stick to my longer game.

That might be the short term goal. It's also posturing for extending this newfound market and money marker for them once the 2020 project concludes.

Yeah, it is one thing to call out the incoming storm but a dif story once the storm arrives.

I am long term but I will most def sell to recoup my investment up to date. Which really is like the sale of 5-7 cards of the 100+ I have.

I agree with that strategy. Ive sold a few things, doubles/triples of what I have. No reason not to. You have to be smart, but you cant be scared if you had a long term plan.

...and side note on today's Fucci. His best yet! I cant wait to snag that Thomas for the ole collection.

I'm thinking a gallery frame with 2 rows of 10 for an Ermsy set.
