I think if this was a one-time thing it would increase the value of some less sought after cards because it will allow set collectors to focus only on P2020. If something similar to P2020 comes out next year, I think some of that big money would drift away from the big cards in this set. That being said, this set seems to bring out a lot of nostalgia of the past and may just be the beginning of a bigger collaboration between the art industry and card industry.

I’m personally more curious to see the drop off/gain in buyers thorough out this year. The more people that stick around through December, the more likely cards will appreciate in value (and the more likely Topps would be to continue something similar into 2021).

Completely unrelated, but would you guys like to see print runs drop below 10k again sometime this year? and second, how likely is it that the most iconic cards from P2020 haven’t come out yet? Because I have a few potential artist/card matchups in mind which I can’t wait to get a copy of.

I would think the only way it would HURT P2020 is if Topps somehow decided to use the SAME RCs (Trout/Ichiro/etc) with different artists...as long as they chose different players/cards, it would be fine..the same guys would be overkill. Off the top of my head you figure

In the Beckett interview, Jeff Hickman said Topps is not planning to do Project 2021. But they're looking at possibly doing similar things with other properties (Star Wars, WWE, soccer, Garbage Pail Kids are the ones he lists) and obviously they'll continue doing other online-release baseball issues.

$184.99 * 0.971 - 0.3 = $179.32
