Long-term, I think the people holding Shore Griffeys will be just fine. I bought a few knowing that they'd have a high PR. I don't care. I think it's a fun card and, worst case scenario, I can trade away the others or give them to my nephews if I don't feel like holding for a while. If ya can't make a little $ off of them, enjoy and share the art with other folks!

This is the best advice I could give. At this point, most people that are collecting these cards are already buying them for themselves. If you are buying these new releases simply to sell, I think you will struggle. There will be more people that discover this product and want in but not at the pace the flippers are buying these. The early releases will continue to do great. If you are just getting in now and getting in to make a profit on the new releases, you missed the boat.

I really think that people are going to be very surprised by the PR numbers for today's cards. Unless the sneakerbois and everyone else here is still buying 10+ I would be very surprised to see either card over 25K.

Keep pumping this up guys, I need to sell $9k worth so I can go buy that Supreme / Mac Tools T5025P Tech Series Workstation to store all the tools I don't have. EDIT: this is sarcasm

From someone who is into cards & streetwear, I 100% support this post:

Buy the cards you actually want, just like shoes - buy them in a size you can wear so you're not left holding the bag when you can't find a buyer at the secondary price you wanted to get.

He bought high and was nervous. It's happens. If he didn't have the stomach for it why drop ~$900 on a card?

Going to guess 30-35k on both today.

Williams and Koufax eBay pre-sells are about half of what Ryan sold before 1pm yesterday, and like 20% of what Griffey sold by 1pm yesterday, so if eBay pre-sells are an accurate representation of early demand then I would project both to be in the low 30's, which would be a welcome return to at least some normalcy.

PR is going to be way high because they packaged with Tuesdays release. Both over 50K.

I'm thinking over just because people might have added to their ordered when getting the Griffey since the whole "this is a sure thing mentality" was still the general consensus.

I think people are underestimating how the Shore Griffey could be the gateway card for a collector into P2020. And guarantee for some of those buyers the Shore Griffey won't be their last P2020 card.

I'm more in line with CoEnt85 - prob cut the Griffey/Ryan PR in half and then even lower for yesterdays release.

That's one of the things I was using, but couldn't find an exact number. 30k probably seems more reasonable if you're correct.

Griffey Shore was clearly your very first purchase.

Interesting follow-up question here for cards POST SHORE GRIFFEY...if PR's continue to spike...is the best move to keep buying our card from Topps @ $20? It seems as though that only drives the PR up more, and paying $20 might be too much?

My thought is...once these drop off Topps' site from being able to be purchased, sellers are NOT going to sell many below what they paid for. I know there was a panic purge with Shore Griffey, but I would think that people would wise up and not put themselves in a position to where they are buying @ $14 bulk rates and selling @ $12.50.

From now on, I would think the re-sale floor would be higher, but IF PEOPLE KEEP DOING THAT...I would LOVE to pick these up below Topps bulk rate pricing...
