I think this has been fun. I'm the furthest from doom and gloom. The Trout's were $50 on Sunday. They went all the way to $225-250, now back to $125.

It's the ebb and flow of the times.

99,000 print run yesterday, wallet fatigue, low PR cards skyrocketing daily caused the perfect storm yesterday for some pull back. Anyone who expected 0 dips is being unrealistic. That means today is a great day to pick up low PR's at a sweet price. Gary V is going to pump in about 24hrs. I think Blake Mattingly, Blake Robinson, Blake McGwire, and all low PR Tyson Beck's are gonna see a nice surge coming this weekend and into next week.

Uncle Gary comments will be interesting. If I recall correctly in one of his live streams about sports cards or maybe his Rich Eisen show appearance he commented about sports cards being 'art' for his generation.

Was it a subtle hint to what Topps had planned with Project2020 was to eventually become...he obviously has a partnership with them being featured in card sets.

This whole thread might be more fascinating than the cards themselves.

Loved catching up on all the Siff talk from last night. His Brett is what brought me into this project. Also, I know most hate his Ryan, but it might be my favorite of all his cards thus far. I love that none of his cards look alike. It makes it that much more exciting waiting for his next release. I can't wait to see the Jeter today. The full Siff set when completed I think will look really nice together given the uniqueness of each of his cards.

Soon after I started collecting him, I decided to get 5 of his sets. My plan was to give a set to 4 friends in a sports group text which we have had for many years. We all worked together, starting at the same time, but have all since moved on to different parts of the country. I have 3 Ripkens which I bought for $80 from the same seller I am still waiting on. Starting to get nervous about getting them given the large increase in their prices.

they changed the disclaimer many cards ago (6+) regarding mags. topps doesnt say the card will come in a mag anymore. it says a protective case...

Crazy thought here...I like the cards...usually buying two of each I like {yes I don't buy every single card} If I can eventually sell one and make the initial price of both back clear I have a nice collection for free...and that would be just fine. Guess I don't fit in?
