Agree 100%. Confluence of top player, screaming market, flippers and collectors stocking up, and very unique card (the shores really have grown on me). I bet no other release tops it. Trout could, but that is the most obvious candidate and I think many people who feel burned on the Griffey will dramatically reduce purchases. After all, other Trouts are 2/3rds less. That was a turning point- so the unbridled enthusiasm has waned a bit - which will reflect in the numbers.

I agree... I had no intention of collecting his set before the Project started like I was with Mister Cartoon and Matt Taylor. Now I will.

I am with this thought process 100%.

I got in late and for the entry price of roughly $200 for the only Don c card so far (Frank Thomas) i can guarantee myself a whole complete set of Don C for only $180 over MSRP.

Plus i love the look of the Thomas and Ripken and think the Don C set in general will be a sick one to have.

Now i have a clear, attainable goal in this project and i don’t care at all what happens to the actual value of these cards. I’m expecting 80k Ripken at this point

The real problem is that I priced myself out of a set for Don C

Frank Thomas Don C is a great card, not surprised it's running.

I'm making the call that anything with a print run over 5K will start dropping from here on out. Of course some auctions in progress are already at high prices, but anything newly listed will be starting the drop back to reality which is right at the $20 market. Some of the cards are nice, but many are just plain ugly to the average collector and sorry to burst your bubble, but these are not being hyped in the art world. Hype is the only thing driving these and higher print runs make it harder and harder to hype.

Griffey will be topped by Trout card #100. No doubt in my mind

Frank hits 500 and I am selling 4 of them at that price ASAP.

I have to say, these cook groups are hysterical. The fact that like 20 of the last 30 cards bought are Don C Frank Thomas when searching Project 2020 isn't fishy at all. Just give it an hour before they have to undercut each other on the way back down. Things are going up, but please don't let these fish get one over on you.

On his video today Blake said he is going to announce he is no longer signing these free autos as they come in. Too labor intensive. He is going to have everyone send him their set to sign all at once... most likely at the end of the Project.

Before you buy check out what they have listed. If you see sneakers or Oreo cookies, don’t buy.

This was actually my line of thinking....someone that is just hopping in and collecting Don C, gets the Thomas due to Ripken....makes sense

Its crazy that they're churning don c thomas card when it hasn't even been made yet. You have to be nuts to churn presales.
