I'd bite the bullet and grab one now for $200 while you still can if you are really interested in collecting Don C's whole set. After that you can get them all for cheap from Topps so it's still the easiest(cheapest) artist set to collect right now.

I don't think increasing the price will do anything, as long as there is profit to be made the resellers will buy regardless, and you might actually price out the real fans.

I think his idea of a more expensive patreon tier will suffice

At current pricing, the real fans can't get their hands on the cards anyways. At least raising prices will cut into reseller profits. You're also assuming real fans cannot afford to pay for the higher prices which not necessarily true.

Griffey's Shore to be MORE than last weeks Blake's McGwire and Thiele's Jeter COMBINED would be a clear indication that a majority of buyers are coming in for the wrong reason.
