Has anyone given thought to what they will spend their profits on within the hobby.

Personally, I F'd up after Lebron left Cleveland. I've said it before, I was 22 and wanted to party and go to music festivals sold all my Lebron Topps Chrome, Star Rookies, Bowman Chromes, etc to fund it... I want to pick up a PSA 10 or BGS 9.5 Topps Chrome and Star Rookie for my PC. This project has given me an opportunity to correct the worst mistake I've made in the hobby.

This would be one of the most foolish things Topps could do right now.

Raising the cost of entry will turn lots of people off, set a bad precedent (when will they raise it again if they do it this time?), and destroy all the positive momentum Topps has created.

They should try to do everything they can to increase the PR (big picture), not get greedy for a few days (short term). Cuz that's how quickly this can all come crashing down if Topps raises prices.

Topps is making plenty of money at $20/pop. Esp. with these 20-30K PRs.

They could average a PR of 250K/week starting this week. You're looking at $4-5M in gross revenue/week.

Cool card. I like saladeen’s work. When the Griffey came out I was like “I’m not paying $20 for a card.” Passed. Ouch. You won’t see that low of a print run again.

People said the McGwire by Blake would exceed the Trout Baller and it didn’t even come close. The reality is a majority of people that know about this market don’t have $1500+ a week to buy 10 of each player per day. I would be surprised if the Griffey breaks 25k.

I initially didn't buy Vides Henderson because of this, but then decided to collect all Hendersons and had to pay what I thought was a ridiculous price two weeks ago. Of course that ridiculous price was 1/6th what it is now.

I bought one for $900 last night and went to bed thinking wtf did I just do, lol? Couldn't be happier I did today. Expecting big things from the early Griffey's.

Probably should. If the Shore goes 35K PR + which I think it will, the Saladeen and Beck go to the moon.

Very good point about most with a finite supply of funds on a 400 card set. And guess who didn't buy the Blake 'Gwire because of that? (raises hand)

Feel your pain. I usually like to bob while others weave, but right now it seems like bobbing and weaving still lands a win. Crazy.

Yes, I know exactly what I'm going to do. Hank Aaron and Eddie Mathews rookie cards.

Heard he's got potential. Lot of analysts calling him the next Matt Harvey.

Beck's Griffey is floating just above $500 right now. PR 3.7k is pretty attractive if Shore goes 35k+. The funny thing is the Shores have been popular enough that I wouldn't be surprised if they hit $100 quickly as well.

I feel like grading is completely unnecessary. Wouldn't trust a card that has a broken seal.

I'm not very deep into Project 2020 but any profit is going straight into putting together the 1952 HOFer set. That's why I decided not to buy the Efdot Mays last week, I figured I was going to buy the real thing instead...Not a wise decision in hindsight but I'm still having a tough time wrapping my head around these prices.

The quiet before the storm. Mon and Tues we get new cards, but no new PR info.

Time to buy/catch up is usually Mon-Wed, in my opinion. The weekend rush has subsided and people are waiting for those Monday card PRs to be released on Wednesday.

I’ve been buying 5 to get the discount and hold one for my PC, it gets expensive quick and I won’t do pre-sells because I don’t want to deal with the headaches of selling something not in hand.
